And here is the second part of Holisdale: Round Two -- College!
Sim State University
At SSU, we have Amanda Blecker with us, looking rather uncharacteristic in those clothes.
Amanda Blecker -- Family; Leo (4/10/4/4/3); LTW: Graduate 3 Children from College; turned on by vampirism and black hair; turned off by formal wear
Joining Amanda is her boyfriend and teenage sweetheart, Ricky Cormier.
Ricky Cormier -- Romance; Libra (2/8/2/6/7); LTW: Become Hall of Famer; turned on by glasses and makeup; turned off by formal wear
Also attending Sim State is Amanda's little sister, Tara Blecker.
Tara Blecker -- Family; Libra (2/8/2/6/7); LTW: Have 6 Grandchildren; turned on by vampirism and grey hair; turned off by stink
And finally, the last at SSU and in this dorm is Randy London, Tara's boyfriend and teenage sweetheart.
Randy London -- Fortune; Capricorn (7/4/1/8/5); LTW: Become Business Tycoon; turned on by makeup and hats; turned off by formal wear
Here's a picture of Amanda after her makeover, looking more mature and more like her fun, bubbly self. I think she's probably the prettiest of the Blecker children. Her major is Physics.
Her boyfriend Ricky also gets a makeover. I think he looks much more handsome now, whereas before, he heavily reminded me of potential Spock offspring. Not that Spock isn't handsome... Anyway, Ricky here majors in Drama.
Tara also gets a makeover, one Randy definitely approves of. Tara is quite pretty, isn't she? She majors in Drama, like Ricky.
Speaking of Ricky, here is his makeover. He definitely looks very different from his teen days. I think longer hair really suits him. He majors in Economics, being a tough businessman Fortune sim and all.
Of course, as soon as their makeovers are done and their majors decided, the four of them decide to autonomously do this.
Yeah, even I can feel the love from here.
There is such a thing as a little too much loving, but not for these couples apparently. I bought a hot tub for the dorm and Amanda and Ricky were the first two to..."try it"out. They thoroughly enjoyed it.
The very next day, Tara and Randy also had some fun in the hot tub! They didn't even have the decency to do it at nighttime either!
In fact, for Tara and Randy, the hot tub became their regular place to..."hang out." Which probably accounts for the lullabye I only wish I'd heard. If only...
So, because of their frequent woohoo habits, the fact that I didn't think either Tara or Randy had eyes for anyone else and the fact that Randy had just impregnated Tara, my god their undying love for each other, I decided it was high time that these two got engaged. Sure, it was rather early in the game, but I was pretty sure of my decision. These two lovebirds were definitely the monogamous type, being a Fortune sim and Family sim respectively.
Not surprisingly, Tara popped the next day. I immediately panicked and wondered how she was going to have the baby in Uni and get it back to the main hood without the use of a bunch of cheats or hacks or whatever (I have had this problem before, yes, from an experiment and after that, I decided I hated having babies born in University, haha), but then my solution came in the form of the Inteenimater (love that hack, woo). I simply froze Tara's biological clock and her pregnancy will resume once she gets back to the main hood. Problem solved.
That's not to say little miss Tara's pregnancy was easy though. Being pregnant and in college was tough, but Tara knew she'd get through it as long as she had Randy with her. Randy wasn't ecstatic that they were having a baby so soon, but he was happy that they were together and having a baby. He knew Tara was into that family stuff anyway and that she'd definitely enjoy having this baby.
Meanwhile, Amanda continued to frequent the hot tub and not only for woohoo. Unfortunately, she didn't feel the need for a bathing suit which sometimes made others in her company nervous or uncomfortable. However, there was the occasional person, such as Spencer Curtin, who didn't seem to mind nor pay much attention to Amanda's nude state.
Despite Amanda's wild ways and all the things she did that reminded me of Romance sim behavior, she really only had eyes for Ricky and after hearing about how her sister and Randy got engaged, she brought the topic up over a nice breakfast of pancakes.
"Good for them," Ricky had said on the subject, making Amanda stick her tongue out. It hadn't been the exact answer she'd be looking for, but she was kind of glad Ricky hadn't told her his views on the two of them getting married or engaged soon. It wasn't as if Amanda was looking or even considering anyone else, but she felt as if they didn't need to put a ring on it so soon. They could be in a committed relationship without having any material things signify that.
Much to Amanda's surprise though, Ricky proposed later on in the week. He claimed to have been thinking about it even before she brought it up at that breakfast and he knew, despite being a Romance sim, that she was the one for him and that he'd do whatever he needed to to stay faithful to her and prove his love. Amanda teared up a little, though she'd never admit it and of course said yes.
As if you didn't see this coming. Both couples were so autonomously all over each other; I couldn't bear to even try to separate them when they were so happy with each other.
As Tara's pregnancy wore on, she grew more and more tired although she was excited to be having a baby. It was just hard with college and everything, that was all. More people turned out to be judgmental than supportive and helpful and that also helped break Tara's spirits a little. She found herself daydreaming about her graduation a lot more often than she should have.
Still, she had Randy and he was very supportive and also excited to be a father. He spent as much time with Tara as possible and made sure that she was always comfortable and well taken care of. He liked talking to the baby and rubbing her stomach as well, something that always made Tara giggle and smile. She figured she didn't have much to worry about with Randy by her side--they were going to be alright, as parents and as adults.
Still, the pregnancy took its toll on Tara and it wasn't as if college was hard enough normally, but now her crazy hormones got in the way of her studying and just being happy peppy all the time. She was usually the girl with the sunniest disposition who went around trying to spread happiness and cheering other people up, but now she needed a taste of her own medicine. It was so weird to her for the positions to be switched. She was exhausted, agitated, irritable--just feeling down most of the time. She tried looking forward and being her usual optimistic self a lot though and she usually found some kind of light at the end of the tunnel.
Not before long, the four of them hit Junior year and I decided that Ricky could not go on as a Romance sim, especially with him being so dedicated to Amanda. So of course his aspiration got switched.
Ricky Cormier -- Knowledge; Libra (2/8/2/6/7); LTW: Become Criminal Mastermind; turned on by glasses and makeup; turned off by formal wear
Since his Lifetime Want had changed as well and his major was no longer that beneficial to achieving it, I had Ricky switch majors as well. As you can see, he is now a Literature major.
That's all for Sim State. On to
La Fiesta Tech
Here at Fiesta, we have none other than Evan Blecker. Oh, this is already exciting.
Evan Blecker -- Romance; Gemini (4/7/8/3/3); LTW: Have 20 Simultaneous Lovers; turned on by full-face makeup and custom hair; turned off by fatness
Joining him is Zoe Bailey, looking incredibly out of character in that horrid dress.
Zoe Bailey -- Romance; Capricorn (7/4/1/8/5); LTW: Become Professional Party Guest; turned on by cologne and glasses; turned off by hats
And last, but not least, we have Brooke Bailey also joining us, looking strange in those weird clothes.
Brooke Bailey -- Pleasure; Aries (5/8/6/3/3); LTW: Become Celebrity Chef; turned on by blond hair and full-face makeup; turned off by facial hair
Evan didn't get a makeover at all because I love that hair on him and the kind of sleazy looking clothing fits him so well. Mind you, he is checking out Brooke in this picture. Someone definitely likes their dorm mates. Evan is majoring in Psychology.
Zoe looks a little confused, but in my opinion, she looks great in those clothes and that hairstyle. Definitely looks like a younger version of her mom here, just with different colored eyes. She's majoring in Art.
Brooke is looking grown up, fine and foxy in her shorts and long hair. It's time for her to come out of her shell now. She's majoring in Philosophy.
Almost immediately, Zoe attracts a stalker who just happens to be a fellow lesbian. Being approached in the bathroom is definitely weird, but Zoe can deal with it. Besides, Lora Livingston seems like a nice enough girl and just from their short restroom conversation, Zoe knows she'll be seeing a lot of this girl around.
Speaking of stalkers, it seems Brooke's got one of her own as well. Everyone--and I mean everyone--in their dorm thinks the Bailey girls are smoking hot. However, Gavin's stalking of Brooke isn't really appreciated, especially not when she is autonomously making out with Evan Blecker.
Mind you, that was her first kiss. Right there. Evan stole it and he didn't even know. I guess he just assumed someone as gorgeous as Brooke would have already gotten her first kiss.
Nope.
Gavin gets his chance later after Brooke and Evan are done. He asks Brooke for a dance and it's pretty fun; they both definitely enjoyed it. Brooke starts to think that Gavin is cute and maybe she could widen her horizons. After all, Evan is a Romance sim--he's definitely not looking for any commitment. Brooke decides that she'll give Gavin a chance. She was really rather flattered by all the attention she was getting all of a sudden. She definitely wasn't so popular in high school.
Meanwhile, Zoe is turning on the charm on Lora. They've really taken a liking to each other and it was only right that Zoe should be getting some loving when her little sister was as well. Lora definitely liked Zoe and although Zoe wasn't sure of what she wanted from Lora, she was going to go after the girl anyway. Lora was sweet and kind and understanding; even after their little fling was over, Zoe was sure they'd still be good friends.
Or at least, Zoe hoped so. Because she really did like Lora, but she had such bad commitment issues that she didn't want to make promises that she couldn't keep. She tried to keep the flirting light at first and cutesy, so that Lora wouldn't take it too seriously, but seriously enough to know that Zoe was interested in her. Zoe inwardly sighed; did she really have to start calculating relationships like this now? Why couldn't everyone be as loose as her? She was sure people would have more fun with relationships like that.
Speaking of loose relationships, Brooke and Gavin's relationship was moving rather quickly. Don't think she completely forgot about Evan though; when she didn't have classes or wasn't busy doing other things, she could usually be found with either Evan or Gavin. Brooke sure wasn't picky, probably something she'd learned from her older sister. Lord knows the women in the family had a history of having messed up relationships. Would these two just be falling into family "tradition"?
The next night, in her jammies and everything, Brooke asked Gavin if he'd like to go on a date with her. Maybe a real one sometime, but for now she suggested just staying in the dorms and playing around or something. Gavin didn't mind; as long as it meant he was spending more time with Brooke, he didn't seem to mind much of anything.
They eventually took their date to the hallway and slow danced to the music coming from the stereo. Funnily enough, Evan had been in the hallway before they arrived and was dancing considerably faster than the two to the same music. Brooke rolled her eyes when she saw Evan (but in a fond manner, of course) and Evan hardly paid the couple any mind. What Brooke did when she wasn't with him wasn't any of his business, now was it?
At some point, towards the end of Brooke and Gavin's date, Zoe came out of her room and settled down on one of the armchairs in the hallway. Evan stopped dancing to chat with her--he was good friends with Zoe and liked the girl very much. He often teased her about her homosexuality (it was really only a secret to her mother), saying that he'd hook up with her too if she wasn't gay and that he'd be the one to turn her straight. Zoe knew this was all a big joke (besides, it'd be weird for her to go with the same guy her sister had been with), but jokes were pretty much the basis of their friendship. They were really sweet to each other though.
Zoe thought it was funny that he struck up a conversation with her while Brooke was still on her date with Gavin though. She wondered if Evan was talking to her because he wanted to or because he was trying to make it look as if he didn't care that Brooke was on a date with someone who wasn't him. If so, Zoe found that rather amusing. Maybe Evan's feelings for Brooke ran deeper than it seemed.
As it was, Brooke did really like Gavin, but there was something off about the whole thing. He wasn't as independent as Evan was and that made him less of a challenge. He was far too willing to do anything Brooke wanted him to do and he wasn't original. While he was a good kisser, he hardly brought any spice into the relationship and Brooke couldn't help but compare him to Evan. Evan was stubborn and sometimes mean. He knew what he wanted and he went after it and the two challenged each other on a level that was hard for other people to understand. Brooke liked when people were easy, but not as easy as Gavin. Sure, he was sweet, but this was not the fling for her.
Zoe's own little fling with Lora was slowly but surely progressing. She even managed to get her first kiss in the very same place that Lora first approached her--the bathroom. This did not go unnoticed by Lora. The two started some kind of casual romance after that day and fell into a pretty comfortable routine. Lora never asked Zoe for more and Zoe enjoyed not having any pressure on her. For some reason though, she still felt incomplete...
A couple of days after her date with Gavin, Brooke asked Evan out on a date, causing him to smirk smugly and raise an eyebrow.
"What? Did Gavin not work out?" he asked, still smirking. "Am I your rebound now or something?"
Ignoring his smugness, Brooke gave Evan a small smile. "To be honest, he just wasn't you."
Apparently that was all Evan needed to hear.
Romance was definitely in the air in this dorm, although no one would even come close to saying the L-word (or even worse, the C-word!). Love and commitment did not factor into these "relationships" at all. Or at least, no one would admit they did.
Zoe did admit to being passionate when she was with Lora, but if asked about it, she'd blame it on being horny or pure carnal desire. It had nothing to do with deep feelings whatsoever. Nothing at all.
Evan and Brooke would say the same thing. It was funny how none of them noticed they were rather exclusively seeing the people they were with. Maybe love and commitment weren't that far away.
Or, it seemed that way at least... Until Zoe decided one day to branch out and started flirting and messing around with Katherine Andrews. In the back of her head, Zoe knew it was because Katherine reminded her of Lora, although in reality, she paled in comparison. But Zoe wasn't up for a psycho-analyzing of why she'd chosen Katherine. Katherine was just there and she was rather willing, even though she claimed to be straight. But the straight women were always the most fun, weren't they?
When Evan heard about Zoe's new affair with Katherine, he saw a challenge. Evan Blecker never stepped away from a challenge. He knew Katherine was straight, but he also knew Zoe was charming and hot enough to persuade a woman to switch sides, even just for experimentation. Evan was going to try to make Katherine forget all about Zoe, something he told Zoe himself. Zoe was up for the challenge, if only to validate her affair with Katherine. She was beginning to feel stupidly guilty over it, as if she were cheating on Lora. Which was really a preposterous idea seeing as they weren't even dating.
Funnily enough, Evan felt the same way when it came to Brooke.
But for some reason, most likely to prove that she was not a monogamous woman, Zoe decided that she was going to have sex with Katherine. In the hot tub. And she managed it, thus winning the challenge that neither she nor Evan really cared about. In fact, Evan had pretty much given up and just gone back to Brooke. Most likely because of his silly guilty conscience.
All Zoe knew was that the moment she was done with Katherine, she went inside and proceeded to throw up for the rest of the night, assuming it was because she was so disgusted with herself and felt so incredibly guilty and dirty.
Apparently, this was not the reason for the vomiting. Zoe found herself pregnant (yes, I froze the pregnancy like I did for Tara's), and she had two options for who the other mother was! She had slept with both Katherine and Lora and both were relatively close in timing. She had no idea who the other mother was, although part of her hoped it was Lora's. Just because.
Unconcerned with her sister's affairs, Brooke was enjoying her college life and the fact that most of the guys in her dorm wanted her. She didn't pay attention to them though. She only had eyes for Evan. Even though she would never admit it out loud, she was definitely developing deeper feelings for him. She felt attached to him and she was glad he didn't really go for other girls anymore. She liked the thought that he belonged to her and she to him.
But then again, Evan was a Romance sim and it was only a matter of time before he did something to end Brooke's honeymoon period feelings. One day, on her way out for a run, Brooke happened upon Evan and Katherine making out next to the hot tub. Brooke immediately tore the two apart and slapped Evan as hard as she could, blind with fury. Evan was absolutely shocked at Brooke's behavior.
"You whore! Two-cent gutter slut and all! I cannot believe you! Do I mean nothing to you? Just another one of your cheap lays?" Brooke started screaming, not caring who heard or what she was saying.
"Brooke, what--?"
"I go away for two seconds and you're all over another girl, Evan! What is this?"
"Brooke, we're not even going out--"
"Damn right we're not, because I wouldn't ever want to go out with a STD-infested, selfish wanker like you!" Brooke shrieked, actually hurting Evan with her words. "Don't talk to me ever again, got that?" Glaring at him, Brooke continued on her way, more determined to go on this run now than she'd been before. She needed to get all her anger and frustration out before she slapped Evan again or did something stupid like that.
Hours later, Brooke had calmed down considerably and was now rethinking the whole situation and regretted acting so wildly. Evan was right--they weren't even really dating. What did she have to get angry about? They'd never even called what they were doing a relationship. She had no basis for her outrageous reaction.
She went to find Evan and found him still by the hot tub. He'd spent all day thinking about what had happened as well, but now he was angry and confused while Brooke was apologetic and (mostly) calm. She approached him cautiously, fully aware of the death glare he was sending her way. "Hi," she started. He said nothing in reply.
Brooke sighed and wondered how she was going to go on with this. She knew she had to though, to make things right, and that's what kept her going. "So...I'm sorry for everything I said to and about you earlier. I really didn't mean half the things I said and you were right--we're not going out. I didn't have a reason to be that mad about seeing you with another girl. So, yeah. I'm sorry."
Brooke had no idea what she expected Evan to say in response, but she certainly didn't expect the answer he gave her. "Thought you didn't want to talk to a STD-infested, selfish wanker like myself. Or was it that you didn't want to date a STD-infested, selfish wanker like myself? I forget," Evan said sardonically, still glaring at Brooke. Brooke had too much pride to just take that and although she mostly just wanted to run away from the situation, part of her told her to stay and get the last word.
"Yeah, well, my opinion on dating you has definitely changed," she said simply before walking off and leaving him again, even more confused than he'd already been. Since when did their relationship get to be so complicated?
While Brooke's apology made Evan think about things more, it didn't exactly fix their relationship, so he decided to go to his advice guru.
"Advice guru? Me? Wow. You know you've sunk to new lows if you're coming to me for advice," Zoe laughed when Evan approached her. "So you want to get my sister back, I'm guessing."
"Well, yeah. But, we weren't together before. I can hardly get her back," Evan protested.
"Well, the first step would be to admit that you two were together and that would be the whole reason she got so angry at you for cheating. Despite your unwillingness to call it a relationship, you two were mostly exclusive and well, it looked like you were dating to everyone else. You two were just in denial because you're so afraid of commitment."
Zoe's words shocked Evan, mostly because they were so spot on with all the feelings he personally didn't want to address. He was afraid of settling down. He was afraid of being tied down and was worried that monogamous life would be boring. Funnily enough, he'd already had a taste of monogamous life with Brooke and it didn't seem very boring at all.
"Second step," Zoe continued, "would be to accept Brooke's apologies. I know she already apologized once and I know she'll do it again until she can convince you she means it. Trust me, she means it. She's really a sweetheart and you know that. She clearly misses you and you clearly miss her. It took a lot from her to be able to apologize and you probably wounded her pride and ego even more by rejecting her apology. When she comes to you next time, you've got to accept it and you've got to apologize to her too."
"And then what? If that works, do you think she and I could...?" Evan didn't really know what he was asking for here. He didn't want to say date or go out--that sounded too weird, too final. But it was something like that.
Zoe merely chuckled. "You two lovebirds will figure that part out when you get to it."
The apology part wasn't nearly as hard as Evan thought it would be. Brooke was a lot more understanding than he gave her credit for and Evan was slowly learning to be the same. He'd definitely grown up since leaving his family behind--he wasn't that stubborn teenager who repressed most of his feelings and was overly aggressive anymore. He was learning to talk through things and not be so argumentative. He was learning to love too and Brooke was definitely helping that. Perhaps she was his destination rather than a pit stop. Maybe his little romantic road trip was over. Was he really ready to settle down?
Brooke had already gone through the same thoughts with herself and she came to the conclusion that yes, she was indeed ready to settle down. And she knew just with who.
She unabashedly admitted to Evan that she wanted to be in a committed relationship with him and that was why she'd gotten so angry and jealous. She wanted him to herself and she wanted to feel as if she belonged to him. She didn't really know where this was coming from or why or how, but she tried to explain her feelings the best way she could.
To her surprise and joy, Evan really understood. He really did.
So they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend and it was just like how it had been before, except now they had an official title to go with their very official relationship. No one dared to even try to come in between the pair; it was very obvious that they had a special kind of chemistry that nobody else would come close to for them. It just goes to show that even Romance and Pleasure sims can find true love.
Well, as Beyoncé would say, "if you like it, then you should put a ring on it."
The day after Evan and Brooke finally brought themselves to say "I love you" to each other, Brooke popped the question. She totally caught Evan off guard, but he couldn't say no. This was a big step commitment wise, but they both seemed willing to take it. Maybe they could make it after all.
However, while her sister had finally got her love life on track, a very pregnant Zoe was more confused about hers than ever.
It seemed the roles had reversed. She was now stalking Lora, constantly craving the girl's attention. Zoe couldn't really explain it and Lora was confused about it as well, especially since Zoe wouldn't talk about her pregnancy or whose baby it could be. Lora figured she was one of the possible second mothers if she wasn't THE second mother. But Zoe was keeping her trap shut about all of it.
...Maybe it was time she started taking her own relationship advice.
Here's a little fun pic, hehe:
Brooke's awfully conflicted, ain't she?
That's it for college (definitely the longest update so far, my god)! Look out for Round Three coming up soon (hopefully)!
Thanks for reading! :]
