converse low tops and VIP
so last night, as you (and by YOU I mean the 4 people that read this) all know, I went to circus de soleil. I was the only person in VIP with converse sneaks and cut off jeans. RAD.
Anyway, the VIP thing was totally worth it. When we got there, we were escorted to our own private little tent for some pre-circus h'ordourves(some gourmet chicken/olives/spinach/something i couldnt identify, etc etc.) The beverages were amazing. We could chose between a nice merlot/Champagne/some odd smelling liquor and water or soda. I went with the champagne. 5 glasses. Who gets drunk at the circus? Before my consumption of alcohol, I, Shayla Janine, bought merch. A clown nose, this HOT AS HELL long sleeve tee, and a keychain. I felt better buying this than I did Hanson merch. hah!
So anyway back to my lovely night. They also gave us a VIP pass thingy that we had to wear the whole time because--GET THIS-- at intermission while all the commoners were eating popcorn, we got to go back into the tent and feast on dessert. There were two large tables filled with every dessert imaginable (strawberry concoctions, gourmet brownies, some apple crusty thing.) I went back and forth between tables so the same people wouldn't see me coming back for more. Oh and on a completely selfish and unrelated note, I LOVED seeing the people get turned away from VIP. This one dude was persistent, "I lost my pass. A ticket? I lost that too." I was crackin' up. I asked the girl if she needed help because I was highly skilled in security and she said that was nice but she didn't want me to miss the show. hahahaha
The actual circus was amazing. We were 3rd row in the center...very cool. The best part about the circus (besides the bulge in every.trapeze.artist.) was the band. How fucking wild would it be to travel around with the circus playing music? This is my new life goal. Actually, I'd rather be the singer. She was okay but hello people! don't you want a big round chocolate lady standing in front of you singing? I know you do. Call me.
The costumes, the lights, the dramatics, etc etc were all amazing. I love the circus.
