RING DAY!
well, i'm only going to do a short update because i'm starting to feel sicky again. stupid aches and pains. blah. well, hurricane rita is rearing her ugly head. tony was supposed to head up here after work, but after 5 hours on the road he had only reached 249 and 2920...those of you who live in the area understand what that means. he was trying to avoid 290, but i guess it didn't matter anyway. he's crashing at my parents' tonight (lucky him) and going to see if the roads are any better at all tomorrow. he's worried about me being here "alone". my hero. :) much love. i'm keeping my fingers crossed that he can make it up here, but things don't look good.
my mom had me to go to the store and buy water and foods for her to come pick up, but she couldn't get up here either so now i have extra free food and water. so *YaY*. can't complain about that at least. if only the hurricane wasn't resulting in absolutely no gas and keeping my loved ones from me.
we're playing texas state right now...and at the moment the score is 31-44 us. and there are 52 seconds left. okay, i had that typed in before but cut it because i didn't want to jinx anything. but the game is now over and we won. so whoop for that! :)
today was ring day! whoop! i went with jessica to get our rings. there was like no line. in and out. it's all very exciting. i love my ring. the only piece of (yellow) gold jewelry i will ever wear. but it's definitely worth it. my roommate made me a giant, hot pink, congratulations card last night. glitter and pictures and everything. it was so sweet. i was sick and horrible with a fever but it still made me smile. :)

ok, and now that sickness is coming back and i took some nyquil so i need to get in bed. hopefully if i get a good night's sleep i'll feel better in the morning. i can't be sick...there's ring parties and hurricane parties going down. :p i'm not actually vomiting like that picture suggests. but congratulations to all those who got their ring today!! and everyone be safe this weekend please. i love you all.
