Status and Plans for Fanfics and Cosplay
I hate winter. (>_<) My kids keep getting sick. Ethan has a runny nose and a temperature - again. He's been sick since Sunday - which means no preschool for him - which means no downtime for me. I really hope he'll be well enough to go to school on Friday. Otherwise, he'll miss the Valentine's Friendship Party at his preschool.
On Fanfics...
Currently working on slytherin_gypsy 's NaruHina drabble request. It's been outlined. I just need some time to write it. But... I think I'm incapable of writing drabbles. Well... not really. I have written Yu Yu Hakusho drabbles in the past. It's just that drabbles are so challenging to write! As a rule of thumb, I define drabbles as anything under 300 words - and ficlets as anything under 1000 words. IMO, ficlets are easier to write than drabbles. It's easier to compress a full story into (approximately) 1000 words than to compress it down to 300 words or less! So it looks like the drabble meme is turning into a ficlet meme. ^^;
Also... I know I'm supposed to be working on One Small Step and/or A Delicate Condition, but I'm not. I've been distracted... and it's all perpetual159 's fault. She didn't come out and say so directly, but she practically dared me to take the Dattebayo Challenge. I had this idea for a NaruHina fanfic, but I wasn't going to write it because it was kind of really Stupid - with a capital 'S'. It contains the three C's that I hate reading in fanfics: Cheesy, Corny, and Cliché
The Untitled Dattebayo Challenge Fic has been outlined and drafted (787 words).
OMG. The three C's. I can't believe I'm writing it. You guys will be so disappointed. (T_T)

On Cosplay...
I only plan to attend Fanime this year. I'm so busy with Real Life commitments, that I don't have time to go to other anime conventions. So I'm only planning to make three (maybe four) cosplay costumes this year:
1. Amulet Heart from Shugo Chara! for me
2. Mio Akiyama (episode 12 concert version) from K-ON! for me
3. Azusa Nakano (episode 12 concert version) from K-ON! for Talia
4. Hinata Hyuga (Shippuden version for me) from Naruto... but only if I have time.
Also, this weekend is Lunar New Year! We'll be driving down to San Francisco to celebrate it with my parents and siblings. ^_^
