"I'll pray for you"
Yes, apparently I am sooooo far from delivering that a medical miracle is needed....the doctor today at my appt. actually ended the appt. by saying "I'll pray for you!" haha.
Absolutely no change, as there hasn't been in a month. Still only 1cm (apparently a very "tight" 1cm at that according to my doctor today....she practically grabbed my tonsils trying to feel Raya's head b/c she's still floating so high and I"m not dialated much etc.) The doctor even was like "well, I'm pretty sure she's head down, but at this point maybe we should check just to make sure since nothing is happening!"....so they gave me a quick (like 30 second) ultrasound just to check where her head was....yep, she's head down....cute little head too from what I could see ;-)....but making no attempt to come out that's for sure!!!
Soooooo, what's next? Well, my due date is Thursday. Apparently come your due date if you are still pregnant they do a non stress test just to make sure baby is happy in there and not in distress etc. So i have that scheduled for Thursday afternoon now. Then I have an appointment with my doctor again next monday! Good lord, this is never ending haha. My understanding though is that then at my appt. on Monday (I'll be 4 days overdue by then) they would talk about scheduling an induction for later in the week or so. However, the thing is that at this point I"m not even a good induction candidate....b/c since she has not dropped and engaged, and i'm so little dialated, etc. that if they try to induce under these circumstances there is a good chance I"d end up needing a csection in the end anyways (i think online it says like a 70-80% chance of needing a csection if induced under such conditions...b/c you're body isn't really ready to labor, etc.). So really Raya needs to at least attempt to drop or dialate me a little bit more in order to even give an induction a chance of working!
....so I guess all that's left is "pray for me" :-)
