Argh. I just went to another page, and everything that I'd just typed was wiped clean. Sigh. I'll do my best to retype everything.
It's been a week since I last posted, so I think that it's about time for another entry. I'm not going to go over everything that's happened in the last week on a day to day basis, but I will cover a few things.
I've been able to talk to my only friend (yes, that sounds a bit pathetic, but it's the truth) once for just 10 minutes on the phone over the last eight days or so. I'm sure that she's been busy and occupied, but I'm still disappointed, especially since she hasn't even sent me any "Hi" or "Hello, how are you doing?" messages. I also have no idea when is a good time to call or IM her. I guess that it's probably about time to leave a message and ask.
On Saturday night I went to Rumours Night Club in Niagara Falls, Ontario. I got through Customs just fine, but then I had to wait in line at the club for about half an hour. When I finally got in, I felt like a sardine. Rumours was packed, especially the dance floor, which was slick with the spilled drinks of patrons who decided to take theirs out onto the floor. What a waste of time. I should have just gone to sleep.
Better yet, I could have gone to the birthday party of a rather talented local musician, whose band I've seen perform several times, have taken many pictures of, and have recorded two or three of their live performances, two of which I copied and gave to him. I even bought him and his girlfriend at the time a drink. I could mention a couple more things, but you get the idea. Unfortunately, I was practically the only one not invited. Why do I even try anymore? I can answer that right now. I try because I'm a genuinely nice guy. I'm not a carpet, though, and am not going to let anyone walk over me. I'm seriously tempted to stop trying, just say forget it, and walk away, but I'm going to hold off on that, for now.
Over the course of the past week, I've received all three Venus Hum maxi-singles that I won and bought on eBay. In order of arrival: Hummingbirds, Montana, and Soul Sloshing, which came in today. They're excellent. :)
As for today, I forgot my alarm clock at my family's house last night, but that wasn't a problem, as my mother was able to wake me from an already light sleep at 8:30am. I ate breakfast and drank water while reading a couple of reviews for The Cure's latest show, in Camden, New Jersey, one of which was rather amusing. I also read a news story or two before going to the gym. I won't get into details, but I will say that on my next leg day, I'm going to be moving up 10 lb. on squats and leg presses. Yes, it was an excellent workout. :)
I hope that the rest of the day goes well. On my to do list: return cds to the public library, buy about 2 lb. of rolled oats (not quick oats), and perhaps some broccoli. I may also prepare three of my meals (3 through 5, of six total) for tomorrow in advance. I need to start doing that more often. I'd save so much time.
Anyway, that's it for now.
