For me, this was a fun little episode. The only things that bothered me were the recast for Mr. Guster and that characters like Henry, Lassiter, Juliet, and Buzz Vick didn't get a whole lot of screentime.

On the Shawn/Gus side of things, I thought that Henry's little speech to Shawn about partners was pretty slashy. ;)

And we all know Shawn only slept with the sister because he couldn't get Gus...

And has the sister been mentioned before? I couldn't remember. I'm just totally blanking. But we're really learning a lot about the boys' pasts this year, like with Shawn and his mom and everything.

It would have been nice to see more Henry, especially without the iphone plug at the end.

Totally! I want somebody to write a fic that takes place during the time period where the "fling" occurred and show how Shawn is so torn inside about not getting Gus, or at least extreme guilt about doing that behind Gus' back

With Shawn's mom, it just bothered me we didn't know details like where she was, what happened, when she left Shawn's life (or they were mentioned only briefly), but that's fine because we have a lot to handle with Henry every episode.

But yeah, after last year's special, I knew I couldn't remember a sister. They did explain last night that she travels a lot, but if they didn't even *mention* her, then it's just a retcon, and an odd one at that. Couldn't a cousin have sufficed?

And yes, Shawn fic with him being torn would be delicious. :)

I think the phone plug bothered me because it was during the little episode cap, and took away from what could have been more of a Shawn and Henry moment. And maybe it was just because there was *so* much product placement this summer. *shrug* Maybe I'm just jealous I don't have an iphone and can't get the case...

O_o Never noticed the product placement. The phone bit was hilarious though.
And the Donuts spot? Just disgusting. O_o;; I don't need to go into specifics...do I?

I'm actually not bothered that Gus's sister hasn't been mentioned until now. I would imagine Gus doesn't brag about her much b/c of how guys always fawn over her by the truck load lol.
But yea, it doesn't fit into canon.

This episode just helps the fact that Shawn has a thing for a Guster hint hint. XD

Plus, I absolutely MELTED at the end of this episode. I heart the Gusters. I just wish there was a mention of the older sister EARLIER. Hehe
