Yesterday I went and picked up HeartGold for the DS. It's quite the recreation though I do have a few nitpicks, mostly revolving around the few trainers on each route plus the problem of the random trash in caves and tall grass. While I like an easy ride, it's no fun beating on level 12 Drowsees outside of Goldenrod City when they don't yield

Shaun, how long has it been since you played GSC? They haven't taken any trainers away and, while you're a bit farther along than I am (I'm powerleveling just outside Violet city) so far it's been pretty faithful as far as trainers and leveling.

By-the-by, I still have a functional GBColor and a copy of Crystal where the time-clock's battery hasn't yet died. (Incidentally, the GBC comes from the Pokemon Yellow bundle).

Shaun, the trading level thing is why you breed the pokes in the eggs and THEN transfer them over.

Yeah I noticed. I did that with my Piplup and a few other pokemon.
