No e-mail! and other stuff
I didn't get an e-mail from Frank Z yesterday and I'm bummed. I waited the whole day, emptying my junk mail box "just in case." Bummer! I try not to worry too much about him, but then I ran into the vice principal at the elementary school . She said one of Frank Z's friends was sent home from the MTC this week. He'd lost almost 15 lbs. and was dehydrated to the point it was dangerous. I guess he couldn't stop throwing up. She said he's always had a problem with that... it's his coping mechanism. She said he would throw up before assemblies in high school when he was student body president. Anyway, he's gotta get that under control before he can finish his mission. So he's home for at least 6 months before they'll let him go out again. I feel so bad for him! The VP says he's just devastated that he had to come home. She also said he hadn't written home in the 2 weeks he was there because he didn't want to worry his family. Now, all of a sudden, I'm all worried again... Not that Frank handles his stress like that. I guess I didn't realize how stressful the MTC can be!
So now I'm wringing my hands again, just when I was doing so well!
I had my awesome A Family Fordever over for dinner yesterday. Her kids are so darling! She's a good mom (are you reading this, Fordever?) She brought those fabulous chocolate chip cookies I posted yesterday. Yumm! After dinner, she graciously accompanied me to our neighboring ward's enrichment night, despite the fact that her kids needed to go home to bed so they would be ready for school today. But she made the sacrifice (and I know what a sacrifice it is!). They had the Grocery Guru come tell us how to use coupons and save 70% on our grocery bills. It sounded so good when we were there, but today I've had a hard time getting his website to do what it was supposed to do. What is frustrating me is I have been there before and have had it work but it is being stupid today. (insert whinning here) I want it to work so I will have lots of cheap food in my house!!!
