the knee!

i'm a terrible livejournaler. i busted up my kneecap nicely on the 3rd. was turning too wide, too fast. clipped a curb and my knee connected with a concrete driveway. it was relatively painless to be perfectly honest. i hardly touched the T3s they gave me. apparently the fracture ran vertically and so the muscles surrounding my knee kept it ( Read more... )

Dude.

You want me to make you stew or something? I would not be walking around with that if I were you, I'd be sitting in my bed sulking and staring at what would eventually be a wicked scar. Are those ~staples~?!

i hope that you are healing well!
and just a question out of curiosity. did the only give you T3's post-surgery? aren't they just tylenol with some codeine? we don't have those here, but shit, when i have my gall-bladder issue i got Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) in the clinic (stronger yet less addictive than morphine) and a nice handful of vicodin. and while i recently had a terrible cough, i was prescribed cough syrup starring codeine, but it didn't help so much with pain.

sorry, i've been pretty interested in different types of pain killers since i have been having more experience with them lately

well after the ER, they gave me a prescription for 1mg hydromorphone tabs and told me to stock up on ibuprofen. i went to see a family doctor a few days later and he prescribed T3s (you're right, they're like 300mg tylenol, 30mg codeine). post-surgery they loaded me up with oxycodone. i've heard from a lot of people that codeine/tylenol does nothing for them but T3s work well for me. kills the pain without getting me stoned :P
