I am almost weeping with relief
My tutor for next semester's core subject, "Major Contemporary Theorists" has sent out the unit outline.
Assessment:
Progress Journal: 35%
Seminar Paper (and presentation): 25%
Major Paper: 40%
No one 100%-worth assessment for this subject, no sirree! The progress journal has the potential to be a royal pain, but basically it involves writing down notes as you're doing the readings, along with questions, points raised, etc - which is something I do anyway. it seems more like a way to make sure that everyone does all the readings.
The other two will probably assume the shape of 1,500 and 2,500 word essays.
In addition, the theorists we're studying include Donna Haraway, N. katherine Hayles, Foucault and Deleuze & Guattari!!
I can't wait to find out more about my other second semester subject, "Post/human".
Now, if only I could get this 4,000 "Ethics" essay out of the way, and decide what exactly I'm writing a thesis on, I'd be more than happy.
