One of the farm's least, er... visible residents is currently visible. Ish. Considering it's dusk, the red girl is not nearly so shiny or readily apparent as she emerges from her tunnel. But there are things to explore, to discover, and it's easier to do that when there aren't people running around at the same time ( Read more... )

Will was watching the sunset from his tree when he sees the movement of red in the field and moves as quietly as he can to figure out what it is, he's not at his quietest, but he's used to Sherwood.

He watches and crosses himself, he's not sure what she is and stays still and quiet not sure if she'll turn out to be a deer or a boar in terms of personality.

At the moment, she looks more like... a bird. Or a squirrel.

Or, as she lifts a leaf up on one fingertip, right up to her eyes, and smiles, like a little girl amusing herself in a field.

Claire's outside, where she was working out somewhere not quite in view of the house. She stops when she catches sight of movement, though, and wandersover to investigate.

It takes a moment before she's noticed, blue eyes focused very intently on lifting and stretching fingers ever-so-carefully, picking up a leaf like it's a precious gem.

And dropping it when she notices Claire and flinches, jumping backward a few steps and lowering into a tightly-wound crouch. She's watching Claire closely in what's obviously a fight-or-flight posture.

Claire has no fight-or-flight posture, really. But she stops, and becauseit seems almost natural, adopts a small smile and crouches to the level the other girl is crouching at.

...smiles are good. Penance smiles back, relaxing a little bit. It's easier than usual with all these other people she's met so far, being so nice.
