One of the farm's least, er... visible residents is currently visible. Ish. Considering it's dusk, the red girl is not nearly so shiny or readily apparent as she emerges from her tunnel. But there are things to explore, to discover, and it's easier to do that when there aren't people running around at the same time ( Read more... )

Will was watching the sunset from his tree when he sees the movement of red in the field and moves as quietly as he can to figure out what it is, he's not at his quietest, but he's used to Sherwood.

He watches and crosses himself, he's not sure what she is and stays still and quiet not sure if she'll turn out to be a deer or a boar in terms of personality.

At the moment, she looks more like... a bird. Or a squirrel.

Or, as she lifts a leaf up on one fingertip, right up to her eyes, and smiles, like a little girl amusing herself in a field.

Leaves and grass - which are promptly thrown up into the air when she leaps backward in fear, eyes wide as she scrambles back into thicker brush.

Penance crouches down a little further, her head ducked while she watches him with wide eyes.

He watches her, doing his best to stay still, normally this is easy for him, but he's been getting stiff.

After a minute or two, he remembers that he has some bread and slowly reaches to pull a piece of toast from the pocket of the jacket he'd found. On an open palm, he offers it out to her.

Smiling, Penance reaches out a hand to spear the toast on her finger, carefully not to pierce Will's palm. This place is wonderful.
