According to the last exam Charlie had, her baby is due at some point in September, and pretty soon she's not going to be able to get all the stuff done around the house that needs to. So the middle of June is a perfect time to re-paint the outside of her house. Bright red will certainly make it easy to spot during the dead of winter

So she doesn't.
Step foot.
But on certain days, when she's bored of gymnastic training and trying to discuss what to do about Detroit with Tobias, sometimes she'll morph and go flying. Not often - she doesn't want to use it as a literal escape - but sometimes. They don't have missions as often as they used to, she needs the practice. And if she happens to find something to do while she's on the way, well...
In any case, after so long she has a good sense of when two hours is approaching. Which is why a bald eagle might be seen in the sky near Charlie's house, swooping toward the woods, and why a young woman in black lycra emerges, stretching and yawning.
And... blinking.
That certainly does make Charlie's house easier to spot.
