[At Lucy's house, Eden and Tom clear the air about some issues. It goes badly for both of them.]
Tom slams the door as he strides into Lucy's house. He takes the stairs two at a time to get to the guest room. It occurs to him that he'll probably lose his fine, private room by the time he gets back. The thought aggravates him enough to start cursing under his breath.
But he wants to get (away) to Smallville. He grabs his coat, his cap, the small cache of money he managed to find. He's not sure what it can buy, having no idea about monetary denominations in this land, but a rat's always got other resources than the legitimate ones.
When he gets down to the first floor of the house, he lingers a moment to gulp down some fruit and the first bit of food he takes from the fridge.
That's where anyone would find him unless they're walking to Smallville themselves.
