SF Con--Day 2--BB Band and Dessert Party
Hey All!
Ok, so I ran out of the hotel to move my car and interesting tidbit....I was running past the Hotel Nikko...and they have a bar there called Urban Tavern....so I was running past the window when I look in and see Mark Sailing from Glee!! Holy cow! I totally wish I would have had time to meet him, but I had to get back to the Westin because I was going to be checking people in for the concert.
So I get back to the hotel, and get escorted up the back way to the 32nd floor.....not gonna lie, the view was AMAZING!! There's already people up there, but I think they were friends and family of Genevieve and Jared....the band was setting up, so I got to meet them....they seemed like cool cats!
So I went out to the main hallway where I thought I was going to start checking people in, but they weren't ready.....and we had to keep telling the fans the take another ride in the elevator...at one point, they had started coming out and things started to get a little chaotic...I was trying to line people up, other people were asking my questions, the hotel staff was trying to talk to me and this one guy kept following me and asking me "Do you need me to call Jared? Should I call Jared? Jared just called me and wants to know what's going on?" I was a bit overwhelmed by what was going on that I snapped at him "Called Jared or don't call Jared! It's up to you!" Then I went back to running around trying to organize things....
We finally let people in and things calmed down.....I went looking for the guy....his name was Daniel and I deeply apologized for being snappy with him....he was cool and he understood.
Then after a bit, Jared and Genevieve walk in.....now to see them together, the height differential is kinda nuts! We all cheered, people took pictures, and the band started. The band was different....like I couldn't tell if I liked them or not.....Jared was drinking champagne and seemed to be having fun! And from what I saw, him and Gen seem like the real deal...like he couldn't stop touching her and it was pretty sweet....they looked pretty happy!
I was standing in the back with Clif of all people and we started talking.....I told him I had only been doing crowd control and on my feet for two days, I couldn't imagine doing it for a living. He totally got it and started laughing.
Then the band ended and things got a bit crazy....if Jared could, he would have hugged everyone in that room....and we were trying to get him and Gen out of there....so he's finally making his way out, and I'm trying to make sure no one gets past me....and he's walking backwards high fiving everyone when he totally body slams me....Holy cow! The words "Jared get off me" came out of my mouth.....never in a million years did I think I would utter those words...he apologized and was gone!
The Dessert Party started after that, and I finally got to go home.....so I limped to my car and went home...had to get ready for Sunday.....aka the Day of Jensen and Jared!
