The Secrets of Good Days
We’ll tell you about the seven members’ smile life♪
From TV to on stage to radio, places where the seven members can be active in keep on increasing. In order to probe into their secrets of “smile at any time”, this month, we’re taking a quick peek into their daily lives.
Q. Where is the place which you can be laid back in?
● I guess the sofa in my living room. In my sleepwear, I’d be watching variety shows and shows that I appeared in that I had recorded. Ah, when I say “sleepwear” though, it’s just a t-shirt with shorts. Then after relaxing and I’ve gotten sleepy, I’d move to my bed and go to sleep. (Kitayama)
● On my futon I guess. Before sleeping, I’d definitely lie down and play cellphone games. It’s a time where I can think, “What a luxurious time I’m spending♪”. I like the feeling of being like I’m sinking into my memory mattress♡ (Senga)
● My living room at home. I do things like eating my meals there. When we went to Fukuoka on our tour, I bought this delicious mentaiko. Immediately, I made it into mayomentai and ate it, but my younger brother said, “Oniichan, the calories for mayonnaise is high” (wry smile). (Miyata) [Note: Mentaiko is walleye pollack roe which is usually seasoned with salt and red pepper]
● A comfortable place is on my bed! I’m using a memory mattress and it’s awesome sleeping on it. After I go home, I’d usually be on my bed watching DVDs, using my computer, reading a book, or sleeping, either one of those. (Yokoo)
● It’s my own room. Drinking water while listening to music after getting out of the bath, reading a book... The feeling of not being pressed for time is nice. Bell (his pet dog) is in the living room. Lately, the time I get home is late, so I always see just her sleeping face. I was able to get back a bit earlier yesterday and Bell was awake, so we managed to play for a bit♪ (Fujigaya)
● My own room! As expected, I feel the calmest there. I especially like being laid back on my bed. It’s not so much of a fixation, the fact that my mattress is fluffy is ♡ (Tamamori)
● Living room. I like sitting on the sofa and being laid while watching TV with my family. The other day too, I watched “HamaKisu” (TV Asahi) together with my family. I was criticized by my dad with, “You space out too much when someone else is making a comment.” (Nikaido)
Q. What is something you bought most recently?
● Clothes. A set of a spring-like jacket with pants. When I tried them on at the store, it felt different from my usual style, so I thought, “They’re nice,” and bought them. As to what they’re like, they’re like a mature casual style. (Kitayama)
● It’s not something I bought, but something I treated someone to. The American friend I made in L.A., the place I went for my one-person trip a while ago, came to Japan. With an intention to thank him for taking care of me in L.A., I treated him. For some reason, the food was American food though (laughs). (Senga)
● My recent spending was yesterday night, for the steak I ate. After filming for my drama, I thought, “I want to eat something nice~” and went into a restaurant alone to eat. Since I’m an adult, I ate it with wasabi, and it was super delicious! (Miyata)
● I bought a portable DVD player. The one I was using before broke. That’s why, for the recent tour, I had brought my laptop with me to watch DVDs at the hotel. Starting next time, it seems like my baggage will get lighter greatly. Thanks to that, it seems like I’ll feel lighter. (Yokoo)
● I bought “vegetable sticks” at the convenience store. Up until a while ago, I was almost eating them every day. I still like them now, so I eat them every now and then. (Fujigaya)
● Just now at the convenience store, I bought the white sour flavour of Watering Kiss Mint Gum. I’ve liked Kiss Mints before appearing in the CM, so I often bought them. I was addicted to the peach flavour before, but lately, my favourite is white sour flavour♪ (Tamamori)
● I bought hot tea at the vending machine. Buying a drink at the vending machine or convenience store every day is my habit. I usually buy either mineral water or hot tea. For mineral water, soft water is easier to drink than hard water, so I like it. (Nikaido)
Q. What’s your ideal way of being waken up?
● I want the person who is waking me up to come together with a dog. It takes time for me to wake up, just going, “Wake up~!” normally is not enough (laughs). To wake up with a dog licking my face...I guess that’s my ideal. (Kitayama)
● I always wake up using my cellphone’s alarm. That’s why I’d be happy if someone comes to wake me up. I want to be shaken gently. With my alarm, I set it to ring three times - at the time I want to wake up, five minutes before that, and five minutes after that. Today, I didn’t notice my third alarm...and it’s been a while since I panicked. (Senga)
● I’m going to talk about my delusion with the assumption that I have a younger sister. My younger sister would wake me up, saying, “Oniichan, it’s morning~” but I don’t quite get up. Then when my sister gets mad, and say, “That’s enough!” I want to say, “I know, so five more minutes!” (laughs). (Miyata)
● If I set an alarm, I can get up with one try. Waking up myself is best. When I get waken up by someone, I’d get into a bad mood (laughs). When I was in elementary and junior high school, I couldn’t wake up properly, so my mom woke me up every morning! (Yokoo)
● I want to wake up by the sounds of cooking. Up to the point where the other person turns around and goes, “Sorry, did I wake you up?” is part of my deal. Also, going “Wake up~ I’m lonely~” and shaking my body is nice too. Write both down! (laughs) (Fujigaya)
● My ideal is not to be waken up by anyone!! I want to wake up at my own timing. I’m really bad at waking up, so I don’t want to interact with anyone (laughs). After stopping my alarm, I’d sit on the sofa and space out for 30 minutes. (Tamamori)
● I want to be waken up by a girl who is high in tension already in the early morning and go, “It’s morning!” Since I’m bad at waking up, I don’t get up easily. Every morning, I wake up to my cellphone’s alarm and I have set a snooze setting where it rings several times every 15 minutes.
Q. What are memories of your “school commute”?
● The school commute rush when I was in high school was amazing. It’s packed to the point that one would think, “Didn’t you get crushed?” Since I was always sleepy, even if it felt like I was getting crushed, I learned the trick of sleeping while standing (laughs). (Kitayama)
● The road I take to commute to my junior high school just had a lot of slopes and it was very tiring. It takes 15 minutes to walk, but going down, going up, going down...anyhow, there were only slopes. I’d always meet up with friends and we commuted to school together while talking. (Senga)
● When I was in high school, I commuted to school by train. Every morning, while shaking in a packed train, I tried seriously sleeping while standing (laughs). The moment it felt like I was asleep though, I’d get a shake and end up waking up. In the end, I never succeeded. (Miyata)
● When I was in elementary school, I commuted to school on foot. The meeting time for the group I went to school with was very early. I’d be late and went to school alone at a time that would allow to be on time for school. When I was in high school, I met up with friends and commuted by train. The packed trains were tough. (Yokoo) [Note: In Japan, for elementary school kids, they’d meet up in groups in the morning based on where they live and head to school together. Of course, there were exceptions though, depending on the family/school.]
● There was a group I was in to go to school with and when I was in Gr.1, I liked the Gr.6 girl who was the leader of that group (laughs). I was mischievous, so she would often say, “Come on, let’s go,” and take my hand. That made me happy. (Fujigaya)
● When I was in junior high school, the distance between my house and school was quite close, so I commuted on foot. By the way, on the way to school, there was a vending machine that sold 1.5L bottles of drinks, and it was my dream to buy from it. I wonder if that vending machine is still there? (Tamamori)
● When I was in elementary school, I commuted to school with others as a group. I was always late. I rarely went when it was time for us to gather. That’s why when I show up on time every now and then, everyone would be surprised (laughs). I’m sorry I made you wait! (Nikaido)
Q. What kind of sweets do you want a girl to make?
● Pudding! In the past, my mother often made puddings for me. Even though it was one where its shape collapsed and you can feel the unskillfulness of it (laughs), it was delicious. I don’t really care about the taste or shape of it. That’s because I’d feel happy with just the thoughts of the other making it for me. (Kitayama)
● Chocolate...no, gelato is good! I’d be happy if she made homemade milk gelato for me. (Senga)
● Not me wanting her to make for me, but I’d like to make a parfait together. With the two of us, we’d have a showdown to see who makes the better one. I’d put in chocolate sauce-covered fresh cream with sponge cake, cornflakes, strawberries, and stick pocky sticks in it. This is a classic parfait, but for sure it’d be delicious! (Miyata)
● Compared to making something for me, I want to make it myself. When I was in elementary school, I often made things like chocolate cake and cookies together with my mom. We’d do things like cutting out star shapes from the cookie dough and it was fun. Also, I have confidence that I can make them well now too! (laughs) (Yokoo)
● Anything is fine? Cookies too, anything... My favourite is chocolate cake, so I’ll go with that (laughs). Compared to me saying anything, I might like it if she surprised me and said, “Here. I made this, so eat it,” and gave it to me. (Fujigaya)
● Cheesecake! That’s because I can’t really eat ones where there’s fresh cream on them. Baked cheesecake would be nice. Normally, I wouldn’t purposely buy and eat sweet things myself, but if it’s something my girlfriend made, anything would make me happy. (Tamamori)
● Sweet potato sweets. That’s because I like potatoes. If it doesn’t taste good, I’d criticize it properly for her sake. Like, “It doesn’t suit my tastebuds~” That’s too straightforward and not good? (laughs) (Nikaido)
Q. Tell us about an ideal day and one day you actually spent!
● How enriched I feel on a work day is decided by dinner. If I can eat delicious food and finish one day that way, then I can feel, “Ah~ I worked hard today too.” That’s why my ideal is to eat a delicious dinner (laughs). My ideal for a day off is to wake up without setting an alarm. When I open the curtains, it’d be sunny and since the air feels good, I’d do things like laundry and cleaning. In the afternoon, if I can meet my friends and go shopping and eat, then be able to care for my body at the sauna, it’d be the best! That or sleep until about noon, take a half-body bath before cleaning, and then relax at home. That or, going with the flow of the conversation with friends and go, “It’s my day off tomorrow, so want to go to the bath?” and go somewhere far like that would be nice too. I have lots of ideals for days off (laughs).
● My actual days lately mostly start around 8 o’clock in the morning. On days we have location shootings for TV though, there are times we start at 4 or 5 o’clock in the morning, so sometimes, I don’t really sleep the previous day and I just go nonstop (laughs). I’m really grateful that we’re allowed to experience various things. Things like talking skills, I really feel that we were trained. Since it’s just an irregular lifestyle, I’m worried about my meals too. I hknow I must have more vegetables, I haven’t been quite successful. I try to hold back on carbohydrates at night. Really, cooking myself is the best, but the restaurants I go after work serve either sushi, meat, or nabe (laughs). [Note: Nabe refers to food cooked in a pot with hot water or soup stock.] Places I go are the same too and are places where there are waiters I get along with, so that I can talk to people even when I go alone. Since my parent and my friends know the people at the restaurants too, I can have conversations like, “The other day, such and such came” “Oh, really?” with them. Then after going home and coming out from the bath, I’d think, “Today has ended.” The one or two hours I have before going to sleep is when I relax the most. I’d do things like check out variety shows and if it’s before a concert, I’d be playing my guitar. It’s a period of time I really like. From now on, it’d be nice if I can have more time to read books and such. (Kitayama Hiromitsu)
● I feel that if I was able to complete more than four things that I wanted to do that day, then I’d feel fulfilled. That’s why it’s my ideal to fill up my time with plans from the morning. Wake up at 8 o’clock, and while bathing in the sunlight on the veranda, I’d put jam on a piece of toast and drink corn soup. I’ve actually tried doing that, but at that time, it was a really cold period. Bring a blanket with me, I filled a plastic box with hot water, and while taking a foot bath, I ate breakfast on the veranda. The water cooled down immediately and it was cold~ (laughs) Ah, the continuation of my ideal, right. Um, after breakfast, I’d go to the hairdresser, then I’d meet up with friends in the afternoon and buy clothes. Afterwards, I’d have dinner with a different group of friends. If the day goes pretty much as planned, then I’d feel, “I feel enriched.” For work though, I look for a different type of enrichment compared to a day off. For example, like the Tokyo Dome concert we had the other day, a day where I can say, “It was super fun!” is ideal.
● As for a real day, I kept on eating senbei from morning to tonight for “HamaKisu”. Or, from 10 in the morning to 9 at night, I’d do interviews for several magazines, and after that, I’d record for the radio show “KisuMai Radio” with Hiromitsu...something like that (laughs). In the morning, I’d wake up about an hour and 20 minutes before I have to go out and take a shower. Then, I’m make vegetable juice with apple, banana, tomato, green and yellow vegetables along with honey and ice. For meals on set, most of the time I’d eat whatever I like best among what’s available, for drinks, it’s vegetable juice after all. Lately, I’m paying a bit of attention to caring for my body. “Cleanliness in appearance” is important, but things like your blood and intestines, I’ve started to want to clean “inside my body” too. So after coming back from work, I’d take half body baths while listening to music. Then I’d get into my bed and play games. This period of time is when I can relax the most. It might be just me, there’s a game where if I play it at night, I’d definitely get sleepy, so after playing it for a while, I’d get drowsy and can sleep well. (Senga Kento)
● My ideal way of spending a day off is indulging in anime! I still haven’t watched all the anime shows that started in April. I have many recorded shows piled up. That’s why I want to wake up at 10 in the morning and just keep watching them. For lunch, meat sauce omurice or Neapolitan spaghetti which my mom used to often make for me when I was in elementary school would be nice. After eating, I’d continue watching until late at night and it’s ideal for me to end a day like that. For days I have work, the ideal is to be filming on location all day. If we’re talking about now, for the filming of the drama “Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou” I’m appearing in, there are days where we film at the school the whole day. When the weather is nice, it feels good now, right? That’s why, compared to being in the classroom that’s our waiting room during standby time, I’d prefer spending it outside and being laidback as an ideal.
● On a real day of mine, I’d get up two hours before I have to go out in the morning. Before going to work, I’d grab a light meal of a cocoa drink and hot dog at a cafe. It depends on the day, but work generally ends at night. There are times I’d go out to eat with members after that too. When we went to Fukuoka on our tour, the seven of us went to eat mizutakinabe. [Note: Mizutaki is a type of nabe where the ingredients are cooked in water.] If I decide to go straight back home though, I’d make fried rice or something easy myself and eat that. After that, I’d take a quick show and watch one episode of anime. I’d go to sleep about a bit past 1 at night, I think. Watching anime is my time to relax, so no matter how tired I am, it’s vital (laughs). I consider anime as special, so the kind of time I like the most is eating meals with someone. I’m a member of “Tsukadakai”, organized by Tsuka-chan (Tsukada Ryouichi). Other members include KitaMitsu, Senga, and Nikaido. After the Tokyo Dome concert which A.B.C-Z members came to watch, Tsuka-chan invited me for food. Starting the following day though, we have to do the “Eat 1000 pieces of senbei” for HamaKisu, so in order to keep my stomach empty, I couldn’t go. Chairman Tsukada, please invite me again~ (Miyata Toshiya)
● My ideal day is...I want to be unhurried in the morning, so my day would start around noon. If it’s a day with work, then I’d wake up two hours before having to leave and take a shower. I want to buy breakfast at the convenience store as I always do and eat it at work. Normally, it’s either salmon or pickled plum onigiri, but there are times I buy takoyaki too. By the way, this morning, I bought a fastfood breakfast set and ate it on the set of Duet (laughs). After work has finished, I’d invite friends and go eat together. If our schedules don't match and I end up alone, I’d eat something quick randomly and go home. At home, I want to watch a comedy show DVD that I have rented or read manga, then sleep. The manga is the sequel to Adachi Mitsuru-san’s “Touch”! After hearing that the sequel will start as a new serial, I’ve been looking forward to it.
● An actual day of mine actually isn’t that far from my ideal. If it’s a day off, I’d wake up at noon and start with doing my laundry. When that’s done, I’d go out to buy things like clothes and commodity goods. My tension would raise when I go to a drugstore. “That’s nice, but this is nice too,” and when I realized it, I’d be buying two types of shampoo (laughs). After enjoying shopping alone, I’d contact my friends and go for food together. The other day, I went a beef tongue restaurant recommended by a friend. After talking about this and that and going home, I’d fold the laundry, do cleaning, and do household chores properly. Before, I’d mop my home every day since my dog Papiko would make things dirty (laughs). Right now, we’re in the middle of a tour and I left Papiko in my parents’ care. Thanks to that, cleaning is really easy! I’d mop once a week. Days without Papiko are lonesome though. Lately, it seemed that Papiko got her fur cut at a salon, so I got a photo and mail from my mother saying, “She got her fur cut!” Ahhh, I want to see her soon. To me, days with Papiko around are natural. (Yokoo Wataru)
● For my ideal day, if it’s a day off, then it’s meet up with friends at nine thirty in the morning and go on a drive. The destination is wherever (laughs), and anyhow, we’ll just go on the highway. We’d buy various things at the service area and have that as breakfast. Going “Is that good?” in the car with friends and exchanging things, eating noisily like that would be nice. Then...for example, if we arrived at an amusement park, I’d play with all my might. Thanks to us starting early though, there’d still be plenty of time like, “It’s still evening♪” and we’d go to a different place to have fun. Going to an onsen would be nice too. We’d buy various things at the convenience store and be noisy in the car (laughs). On our way back from the onsen, we’d go to a nice restaurant. Even if I get back home in the middle of the night, if I spent such a day, I wouldn’t be tired at all and it’d be the best! I have an ideal for a work day too. This actually happened when I did the drama “Ikemen Desu ne”, but the schedule is by the second! Between filming for the drama, I’d film comment videos for information shows and be interviewed for magazines and then go back to (drama) filming...even slight openings in time are filled with plans. I was surprised to see something like “Eat until what hour what minute what second” written. Thanks to that, I realized the importance of time and I was able to feel how enriched my work was too, so that was great.
● An actual day of mine depends on the day. There are days where work starts early, but there are days that starts late as well. Generally, I set my alarm clock 45 minutes before my manager comes pick me up. I wouldn’t be able to wake up for 10 minutes, so I’d jump up 30 minutes before, take a shower and get into the car with my hair still wet (laughs). Without breakfast, I use time in the morning to sleep. The time work ends also depends on the day. Lately, I think it’s more often to be a bit late. That’s why once I get home, I’d just put down my things, take off my clothes, take a shower, and go to sleep. Before sleeping though, I’d read or listen to music...I make time to do those things without fail. As expected, the time I like within a day is bath time. One time, I took a bath before it got dark, and that was really good. I saw the sunset sky from the window and heard the sounds of the slightly noisy street, and it’s different both in the morning and night. In addition, even when I got out of the bath, it was still like 6 o’clock, so I felt that, “I gained time”. (Fujigaya Taisuke)
● An ideal day for me is work from morning until night! I’d be troubled if I don’t have any days off at all, but really, just every now and then is fine. It’s because I don’t have anything in particular I want to do and working is more fun for me. If it’s work from 9 in the morning till 8 at night, then I’d want to spend time with my family after work. Lately, I’d get home when my family is sleeping, and leave before they wake up. To miss each other like that makes me feel lonely. With my family, when everyone is around, we’d often eat out and the last time we did that was about a month ago. We went to eat yakiniku and I think I feel calm when everyone is just having idle talk. As I thought, time spent with your family is important. After eating delicious food with my family like that, I’d go home and take my time taking a bath to get rid of my tiredness, and sleep at 1 at night...that’s my ideal. If I have 6 hours of sleep, then I think that’s just right.
● As for my actual daily life, I’m filming for the drama “ATARU” (TBS). I’d wake up 30 minutes before I have to leave and take a shower, yea? I’d eat breakfast after arriving at the filming studio. During filming, I guess I usually eat bentou on the drama set for both lunch and dinner. I like yakiniku bentou the best. Today on set with Duet though, I had warm tanuki soba! [Note: Tanuki soba is soba in hot soup with bits of tempura batter. There is also tanuki udon] Actually, until yesterday, I’ve only been eating senbei for “HamaKisu”, so it was super delicious!! (laughs) I often go out for food with members right after work. Since we’re in the middle of a concert tour, I’m looking forward to eating with members on the tour. When drama filming is my last job of the day, I’d usually go straight back home. After checking the script, I’d take a bath and sleep. I like the time where I lay on my bed and space out. I’d definitely check the variety shows and dramas I appear in, so I do that before sleeping too. Lately though, while rolling around, before I know it, it’s like “Good night” often~ (Tamamori Yuuta)
● An ideal day! My ideal way of spending a day off is get up at 8 o’clock in the morning and first, bask in the sunlight. Then, after spacing out for an hour or so, I’d take a shower to get refreshed and then go out to the gym. After training for about three hours and had a good sweat, I’d rent DVDs of a variety show and go home. From there on, until around midnight when I sleep, it’ll all be time to watch DVDs. If I can spend a day off like that, it’d be the best. My ideal for a work day, or my wish is to go out for food with members after work. During a tour too, after a concert is eating out with members! At Nagoya, we were able to go eat together with the Juniors and our manager, so that was really fun. We ate various things like hitsumabushi, chicken wings, and sashimi. [Note: Hitsumabushi is a Nagoya specialty - eel fillets cooked over charcoal with soy flavoured sauce, cut in small pieces and served on rice. You would split it into four servings to eat it in various ways.] I wonder what we should eat at our next tour spot. I’d eat sea urchin at Hokkaido. There are times that the dinner will turn into a meeting for reflection and we’d criticize each other too. I think KisuMai are “great comrades” who can eat together while talking about work.
● An actual day! In the morning, I’d wake about 30 minutes to an hour before going out to work and take a shower. I’d usually eat breakfast and lunch at work. After work ended, I’d go out to eat with members. Lately, I often meet up with Tsuka-chan too. There’s something called “Tsukadakai” and I’m a member and Tsuka-chan’s “right-hand man” (laughs). The members are Senga, Miyata, Mitsu, Takaki Yuuya, Yabu Kouta, and Arioka Daiki. The rule is “You can’t speak badly of people!” It’s a good association, right? Since it’s also an association to make the chairman, Tsukada, feel good, I’d compliment him lots with, “Tsuka-chan’s acrobatics is amazing!” (laughs). After eating with everyone noisily like that, it’s just going back home and sleep. One way or another, I like eating with members and comrades together the best. (Nikaido Takashi)
Q. A dish you want to try making is?
● In order to raise the quality of my barbeque skills, I want to make roast beef. People who make them seriously apparently adjusts how strong the charcoal fire and uses a strong flame, medium flame, and weak flame at the same time. I’m picky about how well done the food are, so I think something like that is cool (laughs). (Kitayama)
● Paella or Spain dishes! The seasoning is unique and they’d put a peach gelee on the fish. You might think, “Does that taste good?”, right? (laughs) But if I serve something like “smoked salmon with peach gelee” at home, that’d be stylish (laughs). (Senga)
● Lately, I bought the magic seasoning that was the talk of the town. It’s a high class Chinese seasoning, but I want to use that to make fried rice or something Chinese. Since it seems to be the best seasoning, I should be able to make proper Chinese food! (Miyata)
● I want to make a dish that really takes a lot of time. Making the soup for ramen might be nice. Compared to a rich soup, I prefer a light one, a soup that uses stock made with chicken bones with soy sauce would be nice. (Yokoo)
● Pasta dishes. I love this certain pasta specialist shop, to the point that I want to work part-time there. Seriously (laughs). I loved the “tarako and lemon pasta” which disappeared from that restaurant’s menu four years ago. I don’t know how to make it, so I’ll try! (Fujigaya) [Note: Tarako is cod roe]
● I think guys who can cook are fantastic and cool. I can’t cook at all though, so just being “an expert in eating” is fine. I don’t like troublesome things, so I don’t really get the feeling of wanting to try making something myself. (Tamamori)
● Garlic fried rice! When I go over to Senga’s place, he often makes it often for me. You can really taste the garlic and it’s delicious, so I want to try making it. I don’t cook at all normally, so I don’t know if I can make it well? (Nikaido)
Q. Do you have any fixations regarding bath time?
● I don’t have any fixations! It’s just that when I have the time, I’d fill the tub, put in bath salts and make sure I sweat a lot. I can’t take a long bath, but I’d play music loudly while taking a bath. (Kitayama)
● I usually take half body baths. It’s a different kind of sweat from moving around, so I feel that it can get rid of my tiredness the most. Also, I’d put in bath salts for sure. Since I also use aroma for my humidifier, I like bath salts with similar scents like lavender, Japanese cypress, and rose. (Senga)
● I prefer showers over baths! My bath time is an average of 10 minutes each time. I’m really fast, right? I immediately wash off the treatment used after shampooing. I don’t like the slimy feeling of it, so I end up washing it off immediately. (Miyata)
● Just the fact I prefer showers. I rarely use the bathtub. If I had time to relax in the tub, I’d prefer getting out quickly and watch TV. While doing treatment on my hair, I’d brush my teeth. (Yokoo)
● I’d definitely want to use the tub. I don’t want to just take a shower. In the past, I was fixated about bath salts, but now, it’s just “It’s fine if I can use the bathtub” (laughs). Also, for shampoo and conditioner, I use ones that have ingredients good for the body and made with water good for the skin. Thanks to being particular about that, the condition of my hair has really improved. (Fujigaya)
● To not just get over things with just a shower, but use the bathtub properly. When I have time, I’d be in there for about an hour. The longest I’ve been in is for two hours. I like taking long baths while relaxing, so I need to be careful not to get dizzy... The best temperature for the water is about 42 degrees! (Tamamori)
● Before filling the bathtub, I’d definitely wash the tub with the shower. Since the bathroom is a sacred place for me, I want to make it clean before using it. Also, before stepping into the bathtub, after shampooing and wash my body, I’d wash my face three times, which is also a fixation of mine. (Nikaido)
Q. Tell us your thoughts about the Tokyo Dome concert on 2012.4.8!
● When we went up to where the highest seats of Tokyo Dome were in the huge balloon, I thought, “This was amazing!” That was seriously high (laughs). I think it’s better to take a photo of that view. If we do the same thing next time, I want to have a camera prepared. I want to show how close we are to the fans and how high it is (laughs). (Kitayama)
● Tokyo Dome was fun! There’s still more than half of this year left, but for me, it’s “the best event in 2012” (laughs). The “KisuMai Ship” in the opening was amazing. We were suspended from there, and we were floating like we were swimming in the air, but when we lowered to a lower point, I could see the expressions of the fans really well. I was happy to see many smiles! (Senga)
● It was as fun as running around inside Tokyo Dome, if I was a dog♪ There’s a part called “KisuMai Ping Pong” where we were each suspended from a balloon and while being suspended, you can spin and turn upside down. When I looked at the faces of the fans, they were like, “Miyata’s upside-down face is disgusting~!” (laughs). Also, for the costumes, Tama is the one that came up with the one with flowers. It’s stylish, yea~ At first, I had the bundle of flowers around my wrist. Then Tama said, “Isn’t this weird?” and fixed it, putting it around my elbow...it’s stylish~ (Miyata)
● Flying is the best! The “KisuMai Ship” in the opening where we were suspended 25m high and appeared above everyone’s head was very interesting! For costumes, I love how the checkered costumes match the song “Catch & Go!!” the four of us sing! (Yokoo)
● This time too, we thought about a lot of things together. Coming down from 25m high too. I’m fine with the scariness. I seriously think, “It’d be amazing to die on stage.” It’s not that I really want to die, but perhaps I should say, to feel to that point... Nikaido asked me, “Gaya, how can you stay smiling?” After the rehearsal of “KisuMai Ship”. I explained to him, “That’s because I can think, ‘I’d be satisfied if I can die stage’.” Then Nikaido probably thought about it too. There was a bit of a pause, and he said, “......but it’s scary~!” (laughs). It didn’t go well during the rehearsal, but Nikaido did it properly during the show. During the actual show, everyone is there... I felt that the power of fans is great. There’s this feeling that the concert is something that everyone makes together. Any worries too, I feel, “Since everyone is there, we’ll be fine.” Fans are that important to me. I was able to truly feel that again. (Fujigaya)
● It was fun~ The scenery viewed from 25m high was beautiful. It’s like “pi”, all the penlights there (laughs). [Note: Tama used a sound effect to express the scene of the sea of penlights.] We were able to do a bunch of new things too. The flower costumes too, it’s like something you’ve never seen before too, right? (Tamamori)
● It’s great we were able to have the set we call “KisuMai Bank”. That’s because we gained more ways to show our rollerskating skills. Also, when there were reactions where you can tell everyone came after listening to our album properly, I was happy. I want to perform at Tokyo Dome again, so I’ll do my best so we can do it. (Nikaido)
Hope people enjoyed this~
