Kis-My-Ft2 (Kitayama Hiromitsu x Fujigaya Taisuke) - Wink Up June 2011

Jan 30, 2013 00:38

W-what is this? A translation of a proper magazine interview? Ahhhh, it is! (...please don't mind me)

Finally, a proper article translated! It's only KitaFuji this time, but don't worry. There is more to come later!

Sometimes, I think that I work really slowly, but sometimes, I think I go through things pretty quickly! This one certainly didn't take too long. Not that it's very long in the first place, but still. It's always good to know I can do things at a good speed when I'm on the roll.

In other news, I caught up with Shin Domoto Kyoudai today, so that makes it 5 variety shows I'm caught up with! \o/ Progress! Next would be...mhh...Himitsu no Arashi-chan and Shiyagare? I'm only a few episodes behind with those, so it'd be easy. I hope. Completely behind with VS Arashi though.

Anywaaaaay. It's getting late again, so yes, interview.

Translation. Kitayama and Fujigaya crosstalk. Their thoughts about the photoshoot (stretching together!) and their Crea concerts (which was upcoming when the interview happened). They received an idea from the staff...and started planning right then and there!?

Try to Warm Up!!
Kitayama Hiromitsu x Fujigaya Taisuke

Their shows at Theatre Crea are starting soon! With that said, to warm up their bodies, we had them do a pair stretch. In the interview, we’re looking directly at their current relationship which many are curious about!

It’s the two of us doing this...that’s the main point

Fujigaya: Seriously, what’s with today’s photoshoot’s theme? (laughs) To take photos of the two of us stretching is weird!

Kitayama: We’re sticking too close together (laughs). Somehow, photoshoots with the two of us usually turn out to be something like this.

Fujigaya: Right, right. We wouldn’t do these things if the pairing was different, but when it’s us, it’s definitely like this. They’re definitely doing this on purpose.

Kitayama: Right. The feeling of how things are escalating is scary (laughs). Soon, it feels like someone working for a magazine will tell us with a straight face, "Please kiss him on the cheek," and it’s scary (laughs).

Fujigaya: Just that, I will refuse (laughs).

Kitayama: Just in case, when it was explained to me about the photoshoot, I went “Eh~ Seriously!?”, and had intended to convey my feelings of unwillingness (laughs).

Fujigaya: We’re still not making enough of an appeal at all (laughs). Think about it carefully. For example, with members of SMAP...would Nakai-kun and Kimura-kun hold hands and stretch? Will they say, “Who will be on top?” ...well, I don’t know if it’s a good idea to overlap ourselves with Nakai-kun and the others though (laughs). But well, it has decreased lately, but it’s because until recently, we often heard from fans about “the theory of the two not getting along”, right?

Kitayama: That seemed to be the case. In reality......(holds suspencefully) I wonder how it is (laughs).

Fujigaya: As expected, let’s make that a mystery (laughs). We might actually be on really bad terms, but we might be really good friends. Even if we get along really well on stage, that might just be on the outside (laughs).

Kitayama: Well, I wonder which it is~ (laughs). Just that these types of photoshoots, I want to end these in the future...I want to say this in a loud voice (laughs). This time, the two of us will be doing concerts at Crea, but things are going really smoothly, right?

Fujigaya: I felt that way too. As I thought, there are seven members in KisuMai, so everyone is looking at a different direction, and there are parts where it’s hard to pull together our opinions. For this reason though, these different types connect to our individualities.

Kitayama: Yea. This time, we have something like a springboard for discussion prepared by the staff, and there, we add on each other’s opinions...that’s the way we’re doing things. The things we wanted were similar to each other’s.

Fujigaya: It’s such a rare chance for the two of us to do this...that’s the main point. I thought about things, taking away parts that “if it’s this, then we can just do it with the seven of us”.

Kitayama: Like how within NEWS, there’s TegoMasu with a different taste, we’re in KisuMai, but it’s an us that a little different from usual...it’s that kind of feeling. If it’s with Fujigaya, I think...a song where we are particular about the notes and sounds like it will be played at a club might be good.

Fujigaya: Also, the venue will be different from usual. Within limited spacing, we must show performances restricted to there.

(to the question of a staff member, “If you were to produce the other, what would you make him do?”)

Fujigaya: ...wait, that’s interesting! Isn’t that seriously a good idea? Uwah, why didn’t you ask us this about two weeks ago (laughs)!

I think Fujigaya has a type of voice suitable for ballads

Kitayama: No, we’d be able make it even now. That’s good, seriously!

Fujigaya: I see, if we do our best, we’ll be able to make it! Let’s take this idea. ...which means, this part is cut out (laughs).

(“No, no, we’ll include this properly”, says the editorial department)

Fujigaya: No, actually, we were thinking about this idea since a while ago.........let’s make it that (laughs).

Kitayama: To produce the other means we’re looking at each other objectively, and since we know what would seem suitable for the other, there may be an element of surprise that would be born......yea, this is good! Uhahaha! Well then, in that part of the solo corners, let’s take it to this direction and bring that song over there, and while that happens... (and an all-out meeting starts).

Fujigaya: Yea, that’s right. Tomorrow, let’s try discussing with the staff......ah, sorry. We ended up planning seriously (laughs).

Kitayama: What kind of image or idea do you have of producing me at the moment?

Fujigaya: Mh, I guess...dancing lots in a elaborated formation. I don’t know for sure though. I’ll think about it starting now.

Kitayama: The image of what I want Fujigaya to do is - I’ve said this before - but a mellow ballad. I think you have a type of voice suitable for ballads.

Fujigaya: I see. But there’s nothing like “The costume will be Bakatono”, right (laughs)? [Note: Bakatono is the comedian Shimura Ken’s comedic skit character. He looks like this.]

Kitayama: Hahaha! A trap (laughs).

Fujigaya: You definitely can’t refuse the producer’s ideas...right? That might be interesting if that’s the case though (laughs).

Kitayama: How about this? For each show, we’ll make it...so that there is the possibility of that too. Since it’ll be different every time, the audience will be delighted too.

Fujigaya: Right! How about you can’t see what that costume is until that moment arrives?

Kitayama: Nice! We’ll prepare a dressing room on the stage, and we’ll change in there...something like that (laughs).

Fujigaya: There will be days where I sing a very serious ballad in a cool-looking suit, but there will be days I sing as Bakatono too (laughs)!

Kitayama: That’s interesting too!

Fujigaya: I wonder what kind of show A.B.C-Z will make. “Comedy” is the keyword, right?

Kitayama: There are times when we rehearse at the same place and the space gets divided. We would be able to hear loud laughter from the five of them coming from the other side of the partitions.

Fujigaya: Right, right. We'd be shocked and think, “It’s rehearsal, right?” (laughs). There’s a crack between the partitions and it would seem like you’d see the other side, but I make sure I don’t look over there at all (laughs). I want to look forward to it until the actual shows.

Kitayama: Yea, that’s right. Well~ I didn’t expect us to actually make plans for our concerts during the crosstalk corner for a magazine (laughs).

Fujigaya: There’s too much of a sense of realism (laughs). With that said, to everyone who will be coming to our concerts, please look forward to a stage that will be filled with various sides of us!

One full interview done, four more to go to reach my goal! Let's see how long that will take. I have the whole year after all, haha.

Hope people enjoyed this!
