Back Again
Hello all. I just realized that I haven't posted to this journal in about 2 years. That seems a bit silly so here is an update for those who actually care. I've been married now for almost a year, which has gone remarkably fast. I graduated from UW last June with a degree in History and European studies. I got my entry level job, and then the market crashed. I've been unemployed since January, which is quite depressing. Given the flood of applicants for the jobs I'm qualified to do, I decided to change directions while waiting for my entry into grad school (hopefully fall 2010) in Museology and/or Information Science. Now, I am working on becoming NASM certified, as a personal trainer. Hopefully that will allow me to have some income so I don't feel like such a leech on Josh (aforementioned husband).
Life in Seattle is going well, Jack, Jason, Emily and Megan have all moved here so I have a decent social life going on. My family drives me less crazy now that I live 200 miles away, though it is sad I don't see Kim or Cindy very often. I have a cat now, Topaz, who's main goal seems to be to supervise everything I ever do, and then comment on it. It is amusing, mostly because she is very cute. Life is going along, though a bit boring as you can tell. It is slightly sad that I can sum up two years of fun in two paragraphs, but that's what you get.
