(no subject)
i sprained my ankle last night. mom said she thinks the whole neighborhood heard me scream.
they're getting new steps, granite steps, so the wooden railings from the current wooden porch were taken down recently. well, that porch has a tendency to become very slick with ice when it is cold and wet. and too cold means ice. so, mom was running late for her nail appt so i went running out the door to move my car which was in the way, forgetting about the ice and the fact that i was still in my work clothes, which includes heels. thas a recipe for disaster. i slipped, had nothing to grab onto, and went tumbling down the stairs. I think i slammed by ankle either into my other heel or the stairs or both on the way down cuz i dont think i twisted it.
so, i stayed home today and missed an accounting test, which i have to make up friday. thank god my prof. granted me an exception cuz he doesn't like to, but i think not being able to walk today is worthy of an exception. lol unfortunately, tomorrow ive got a full day at school that i cant miss. that will be lovely. somehow i have to figure out how to carry my books from class to class. not to mention i do NOT want to use the crutches, but i think im gonna have to. and the elevator too. i dont very much like elevators, i like the stairs. but thas okay.
