I... just had the most interesting phone call of all time.

Recently we sent out some pamphlets for a promotional thing we are doing (I honestly don't know what exactly it is as I had no idea we sent out stuff out of state). Yesterday I answered the phone five times in regards to those that have received said pamphlet and requested to be taken off our mailing list, though I found out this morning that that was just a one time thing. This morning I get a phone call from this sweet lady in Alabama... she then proceeds to preach at me that the "Mormons teach hieracy! Joseph Smith was a fool of a man, and only a man! The Mormons aren't taught by the bible, just some crazy guy that claimed to see God! I challenge you to search for your self the Word of God. I pray that I meet you in Heaven when you find the truth!" I kindly thanked her for her words, though inside I was like "OMG, WTF are you preaching to me for when OBVIOUSLY I'm Mormon since I work for a Mormon company, so obviously I have discovered for myself what I want to believe." And just as a way of note, we "Mormons" like to be called members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or LDS as "Mormon" was a title given in the old days when the church was organized since we teach from the Book of Mormon AND the Bible.

I don't know what all you guys believe, but I respect your interpretations of God and any form of religion you practice, and I hope you'll respect mine. I will not force my beliefs on you (unless of course you ARE LDS and you know what's right...), as that is not what our religion teaches. Yes, we have missionaries that SHARE the gospel aka Good News, but it is the individuals choice to accept it. We, or I, do not chastise you for your choice and say "you will be cast down to Hell if you are not baptized." No, just, no.

ANYWAY! The sun is out for the first time ALL WEEK! I am thankful for that 8D

gratitude, religion, church, life
