I should mention that we're Catholic, but I haven't taken the kids to very many masses. Like maybe two in total. But I want them to be raised with the same spiritual beliefs in which I was raised, so I'm sending them to school through the Catholic school division ( Read more... )

She had two caps and two fillings today. The procedures went well, but she bit her tongue again as the freezing was coming out.

It's been a long day.

This weekend was Alex's year end dance recital. It was pretty cute - she was looking for me in the audience a good chunk of the time, and managed to wave when she saw me. At dinner the other night, I was bustling about the kitchen, when I gave myself a minor cut, which hurt in a paper-cut hurt kind of way.

"Oh FUCK!"

"Mommy, you shouldn't say 'fuck'. That's a bad word."

"You're right Alex, it is a bad word. Thank you for reminding me."

"No problem Mommy."

She just turned five.

Alex had another speech/language assessment the other day.

She had to look at two pictures, and then complete the sentence.

"This man is teaching. He is a teacher. This man is singing. He is a _____"

My daughter answers triumphantly, "A rockstar!"

Normally they're my sweet little darlings, but today? It was like there was this high pitched wail that started as soon as they woke up. It got louder through-out the day, and ended being at least 10 decibels louder than the last Metallica concert I attended.

I seriously have a headache!

The kids had food poisoning on Sunday, which meant they couldn't go to daycare on Monday (sine we weren't positive at that time is was food poisoning). Since I'd been away from work all last week, Jason took the day off and stayed home with the kids.
