James happily handed off the bartender to the uniforms. He wanted to get away from that bar as fast as possible. He also wanted to take as many showers as he could stand to get the brunette's scent off of him

James arrived on Andy's doorstep about ten minutes after hanging up with Reyes. He raised his hand to knock on the front door, but Andy opened it before his knuckles could touch the wood

(It's all good. Apparently, I have an upper respiratory infection so I'm going to bed and will respond in the morning. But... if Andy was going to go for fast food, Fatburger would be it. They serve the Impossible Burgers, so he could even go veggie. LOL Damnit, now I want Fatburger. :D)

(Hope you get to feeling better. I'm battling seasonal allegeries on top of getting my blood pressure worked out.)

(I was looking for Whataburger and Fatburger came up instead. Sounded like the perfect non-McDonald's burger joint. Sorry for the craving.)

(Hah - we don't have Whataburger here although they do in AZ, which makes me sad. Fatburger is higher class fast food.)

Andy rewarded that answer with an arched eyebrow.

"Hey," James sighed. "Banana Foster pancakes can only take a man so far."

"You forgot to stop for lunch?"

"Kinda," James admitted. "I was going to ask you to lunch, but all that crap Ramos' lackey pulled made me decide to err on the side of caution. If you hadn't been there to keep him calm, I had a feeling Zayne would have beat his ass into the ground."

"You are correct," Andy sighed. "I haven't seen Zayne that angry in some time."

James nodded. He pushed the thought of how hot the cowboy looked when angry deep down inside before it could get him in trouble.

"Would you like to eat outside or is it still too hot for you?" Andy inquired deftly changing the subject.

"Outside is good," James replied with a grin. "I doubt I'll melt into a puddle of goo."

Andrej opened the sliding door and went out onto the patio, with James on his heels. “I did not bring us shakes because I did not know when you’d be here.” He gave James a sympathetic look. “I was afraid they would melt

James had to remind himself to eat slower than he normally did because he was on an actual date and not on another boring stakeout.

"So what do you have planned for after dinner?" he asked between bites.

"There is a cooking show I normally watch, but if you're not interested I have it set to record and we can watch something else," Andy answered.

"That sounds good," James said. He wanted to tell Andy that he didn't have to change his plans to accommandate him. "I can always use new recipes, since I only have a few I know by heart to begin with."

"You're not hummoring me, are you?"

"Honestly, no," James answered, when he wanted to say how he hated that Andy always put other people before himself. "I need all the help I can get in the kitchen."

"I doubt you are as bad as you claim," Andy gently teased.

"You can decide if that is true over breakfast," James casually retorted.

(Good idea. Okay, James is hoping he hasn't been too forward with Andy.)

“You have been spending too much time with Zayne,” Andrej replied.

“What’s that supposed to mean,” James asked, burger halfway to his lips.

“You have great expectations,” he said, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

“But are they completely unreachable,” James asked.

“I guess that all depends on your point of view,” Andrej said.

Grinning, James lifted his beer bottle in a salute. “I think I like how you think, Andy.”

“You would be the first,” Andrej laughed, taking a swig off his water bottle. He almost wished he’d taken a beer when he’d had the chance.

(Never. Andy partners with Zayne, remember? And suddenly “The Weekend” by Steve Wariner is in my head. I had a hard time keeping Andy from quoting it completely. LOL)

"So you're saying there is a possibility of me getting to make you breakfast in the morning," James hazarded.

"Why don't you ask what you want to ask?" Andy countered.

"Alright," James sighed. "May I stay the night?"

“Why do you want to stay,” Andrej asked

James pulled Andy into a deep kiss which was something he had been wanting to do ever since he met him.

Andy broke it off after several moments, so they could catch their breaths.

"May we take this some place a little more conducive for this activity?" James inquired as he rested his forehead against Andy's. He wasn't going to push Andy into doing something he wasn't interested in or comfortable doing.

"Yes," Andy answered before slipping out of James' embrace, catching hold of his hand and leading him down the hall to his bedroom.

(Is Andy afraid that Jay only wants him for sex?)

“Are you sure about this,” James asked, hesitating at the threshold

James let Andy pull him into his bedroom and to the foot of the neatly made bed before he reeled him in for another breath stealing kiss.

Hands became busy and soon clothes fell to the floor, and before they knew it they were making a mess of Andy's neatly made bed.

Andrej collapsed onto James’ chest, panting. He rested his face against James’ naked shoulder, trying to catch his breath. James ran a hand up Andrej’s back, sending a shiver through Andrej’s body

James woke to Andy watching him sleep. He smiled and asked, "See something you like?"

"Yes, I do," Andy answered with a shy smile.

"Good," James murmured before reaching up and pulling Andy into a kiss.
