I actually think 'The aftermath is secondary' this a really interesting slogan for them to be using, since Gerard's spoken in the past about how difficult he sometimes found it to do their thing after the violence against emos and the Hannah Bond suicide and such things. /thinks too much

Okay, good point: I guess it gets upped a notch when they try to be surreal and minimalist.

(Though... I have visions of him just making shit up and trying to sound confusing for the hell of it, and then giggling at people trying to make sense of him right now. I didn't so much get that when he was doing the Black Parade and all that stuff.)
