Viewtiful Joe should be a candidate for game of the year, or at least October. Neato graphics, tight (TITE!!) controls and old-school 2-d gameplay adds up to a game twenty times better than virtually everything else on GC right now, except for the immortal SSBM. Too bad it's so short... here's hoping Capcom is working on VJ2 behind our backs.
In other gaming news, the jury's still out on DDRMAX 2. Many of the songs are good, but there are too many songs that rely on lyrics for my taste. The "music videos" seen in the licensed songs are a little choppy and I'm not a huge fan of the darker theme. I liked DDRMAX's bright, upbeat nature, because to me, DDR is about having a good time.
I need to get a job so I can buy a decent pad though. Anybody think I can get a job at a decent video game store, or will I have to degrade myself in the wonderful world of fast food?
