Jonah Goldberg was on "The Daily Show" last night. And just. I heard his name and I literally screeched, and clawed at my face. No lie.
I know him through his work at the LA Times. Every week I had to write a response to his column in my english class. The one that sticks out the most being his OpEd on parody news shows.
Let me tell you something. Goldberg is that guy that's always all, "Well, you know. If you think about it, then blah blah blah. Hurr, hurr, hurr," and is very smug and sort of arrogant, though you don't know for the life of you WHY.
In the article, he spent three quarters of a page denouncing "fake" news programs, which. There are only like, three to my knowledge. Two and a half, maybe. (Daily Show, Colbert Report, and uh, Weekend Update?) He thinks it's all just a ploy to grab younger audiences. Which, hey, kind of like his article, right?
He must've gotten over that, though, seeing as he decided to go on that "stratagem" for a show in promotion of his new book (Liberal Fascism). He was a huge douche, though, so. CONGRATS, JONAH. Now we all hate you, not just me.
