In Which Holly Demonstrates Yet Again That She Can't Get Dressed Without Asking the Internet

There's a Gaiman-themed do at the Merc this Friday and I've been toying with going for a while. Ah, nostalgia for those college days when Sandman was still in issue format! Anyway, problem being, as usual, that I have NOTHING TO WEAR OMG. Well, kinda. I like the theme and any excuse to put on a costume is a good one, but I have no idea how to pull off what I'd kinda like to pull off. Especially since it's, you know, tomorrow. I'd kinda like to be pre-fucked up Delirium. Delight:

(this is the only #@$!@#$ picture of Delight in existence, I swear.)
Suffice to say I'm not doing THAT outfit. Liquid silver bodysuit: rad. Without a corset: not rad. But anyway. What I do have is eight yards of peachy tulle and a similar amount of burnout silk velvet with big tomato red poppies on a white background. Plus white foundation stuff: choli, underskirts, much-deflated petticoat, etc etc. I despair (ha ha, you see what I did there, I made a total joke there) of anybody actually knowing who or what I'm supposed to be, but eh, that's what I get for picking an (arguably) dead character with one on-screen appearance. I'm aiming for the impression of lightness and delight. GOTH: I AM DOIN IT RONG. As usual.

So what I want to know: in your opinion, however arbitrary, is whopping together a last-minute getup out of these things more likely to be character-appropriate or half-assed? Goodness knows I've got enough nice black stuff to fall back on.
