I've *got* to get to bed, but I wanted to share this with anyone who, like me, is anticipating the premiere of the new Dresden Files series on the Sci Fi Channel.

priscellie and kalium were kind enough to collaborate and get the promo uploaded on YouTubeLooks fantastic! Plus, Priscellie is absolutely right: Paul Blackthorne is *absolutely* tapping his inner ( Read more... )

Guh! I *love* them! (Especially that second one.)

I may need to snag, if that's permitted. *pleading grin*

Go for it. Haven't posted them to my icon comm yet, but they've already been distributed to the Jim Butcher forum, so it's all good. :)

I'm using the second one on the forum. And I'm sure I'll be making more soon.

Yay!

I got a big "DENIED" when I tried to access it at work, but I'll definitely check it out as soon as I get home.

Thanks so much . . . for both versions! :)

Thank you for sharing this! I can always count on you to provide me with Dresden updates. :) I had no idea it was this close to being a reality.

It does look good. The glance I got of Murphy - well, I guess I was expecting something else.

Can't wait!

You're welcome! I'm definitely excited too.

As for Murphy, yeah. I had the same feeling at first. (In fact I thought they accidentally reversed the actresses playing Murphy and Susan in the press releases.) But apparently she had the best screen test. And Jim Butcher seems very pleased with everything so far, so I guess I just have to trust that it will adapt well.

*squee!* (I hate to wish my Christmas vacation away but...is it January yet?)

This is the first I've heard of this show. It looks interesting. I'll give it a try for the first few episodes at need. I need stuff to watch until LOST comes back.

It's based on the series of books "The Dresden Files" by jimbutcher. They are actually quite good.

As an added bonus, James Marsters does the narration for the audio books. (Squee!) In fact, there was a lot of talk at first about him starring in the series himself. But, in the end, he didn't want to move to Toronto - which is where it is being filmed. (Though, as I said, the actor they cast does quite a good job of sounding exactly like him!)

I'm looking forward to it; it looks like it will be really good.
