There was one race I had to have tried atleast 50 times and kept losing. I put the game away for a while and played some of the newer games I've gotten ( Read more... )

What version of Nintendogs are you getting? And which breed do you plan to play?

I'm not sure. I was hoping they'd have some of the violent breeds, that I could teach to become attack dogs. But, alas, they're keeping it chill. I'm thinking of perhaps getting the one with the chihuahuas, 'cause I've always had a dream of having one with spiked collar, 'cause I think that would look funny.

But, I probably would actually get Chihuahua & Friends because there's also the German shepherd, boxer, and Shetland sheepdog, which are other breeds I may be interested in trying out. The other versions have 1 or 2 breeds I could get into, but that one has more.

I wish they'd just put them all in one version. Would owners of one version be able to have their dogs play with dogs from a different version, though?

I'm lucky, I'm going to get one version and my girlfriend is going to get another since we each want a dog on the other's.

Would owners of one version be able to have their dogs play with dogs from a different version, though?

Yes, and the explanation I've heard is that because the AI's for each breed are significantly different, plus the large amount of writable-memory that was required to be able to teach your puppy tricks and voice commands they couldn't possibly fit all the dogs on one.

It apparently "streams" the the processes from the other DS to yours.
