Ok, I COMEPLETELY understand if no one read this
4 PAGE ARTICLE which gives you a play by play of different cases that the US Supreme Court may hear next week and what the results will be depending on their decisions. It actually puts knots in my stomach waiting to find out, and what's more, the progress that could be had if certain cases are heard over others is something that I think about SO MUCH throughout the day. But yeah, it's long, tho a page turner :)
So, if you want an easier way of knowing what's going on with all this, along with comprehensive explainations and personal stories of the actual people involved in these cases, here is a video I found on YouTube that features many of the cases mentioned in the article from The Advocate. It's VERY VERY good, and only takes about a half hour. These people will be in my heart in the next few months. If you watch it, you can't help but hope for nothing but the best.
It's all about the tremendous BULLSHIT same sex couples has to go thru as far as taxation, benefits (military and otherwise) as well as the fear bi-national couples face with deportation (which has been BRILIANTLY taken care of through this new
DIRECTIVE)
So watch the video, and you'll have a better idea of how IMPORTANT the decision by the Supreme Court is and how TERRIBLE AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL DOMA is.
