Thursday, July 10
aka The really bad day

12.5 miles
pedaling time 1:10
avg speed 10.71 mph

Not only did I forget that Liz was coming over, but I got the most horrid stomach cramps on my way back. The next day I vomited from duck til dawn, literally.

24 Miles
2:26 Pedaling Time
Avg Speed 9.87 mph. (Hills baby)
I just couldn't face two hours alone in the car after having to commute to San Mateo all last week. So I did some dishes, killed some digital creatures and then went for a horrendously good bike ride. The East Bay peeps will feel me when I say that

I rode from El Cerrito to the Claremont
Up Tunnel Road to Hiller
Up Old Tunnel Road to where it turns into Skyline
Up Skyline to Grizzly Peak
Grizzly Peak to Fish Ranch
Up Grizzly peak to the base of Vollmer Peak
Down Grizzly Peak to Spruce
Down Spruce to Los Angles
to the Circle, to Solano
To the Peet's on Solano for an iced mocha, no whip. Which was awesome as there was a nice lady playing old timey music on a steel guitar outside. We chatted about Johnny Cash while I drank my mocha. I only realized later that I left my water bottle at the Peet's
Colusa to Fairmont and home.

Woo Hoo!! I took a lot of breaks on the way up, but I made it! And I didn't fall.
