Meme: Honesty & Venting

flat view

Use this entry to let out all of your fandom-related thoughts. Disappointments with the show, unpopular opinions, personal frustratrations with writer's or vidder's block, wishes for the fandom, thoughts on this community-the sky is the limit, so long as you don't bash or personally attack other members/fan groups. Remember that anonymous commenting is allowed-no one is forcing you to share your opinions with your name attached, but if people are secure enough to do the latter, that is fine too. Also, this isn't only a post for negativity! Honesty/venting about positive things is also more than welcome. :D

Please keep in mind that this is a Merlin/Arthur community and not a general or multiship community-you may run into a comment that isn't particularly in favour of another Merlin or Arthur ship, and if you know that will offend you, it is probably best to skip this entry. A mod will only intervene to freeze/delete comments if they break the community policy on the difference between bashing/flaw discussion.

This entry is a follow-up post to Sunday's mod post discussing ways to revive the community. Prior to making that entry, I got the impression that some people still don't feel as if they can be publicly honest in this fandom without consequences, and that is the function of this post-to break the ice for future discussion entries, especially when series three rolls around. I hope this exercise helps you guys! If it's a success, we'll make it a recurring thing. Again, commenting under your own name or any LJ account is encouraged and preferred to increase member comfort, but it is again undestandable if you'd prefer to be anon. It's just sad that this fandom feels the need to tiptoe around being upfront and outspoken. As long as you're civil-as in, not picking fights with people-there's really no problem with it!
