3. I think you're so right on that last part. People tend to think that if you don't happen to like or dislike a certain thing in a fandom, you're not a true fan. It's weird, since everyone has different tastes. Granted, I'm guilty of going, "Wait...you don't like this?? Why on earth wouldn't you?" but I wouldn't consider anyone less of a fan because of it. It's mostly me wrapping my mind around the fact that someone has different likes and dislikes than me and accepting that. For those other fans who see people as not a pure fan, it's like they can't view anything outside of their viewpoint. They can only see things as they see it and literally cannot see someone else's.
7. I haven't seen Into Darkness. I really can't make myself see a movie I know I won't like or am not sure I would be interested in the first place. Star Trek's never interested me, so I don't think I could see it. However, I have heard that some of the faults with JJ Abrams can be blamed on his writers, who aren't very good, and free of them, he's a lot better. Since the Episode 7 plot will be written by Michael Arndt, I think we'll be okay.
I'm more worried about how the plot's going to turn out, whether or not the EU characters will be used (just the characters, I don't care about the books) and if they are, will Anakin Solo (my all-time favorite Solo kid) be included, what the villains are like and whether or not Luke, Han, Leia and Chewie will live throughout the trilogy and stay that way (no dying!).
7) I wouldn't recommend it. I mean, I'm glad I saw it in the theatre, and I did buy it on DVD, but the good parts of the movie are only just barely making up for the stupid. -_-
Who knows? I mean, we have at least some of the original cast confirmed, and the core of the Star Wars movies are the Skywalker clan.
