Week Two: Deconstruction

When I first saw the topic this week, I immediately thought of food. Yes, food. To be more specific, deconstructed dishes. What that means is that a Chef takes a dish and puts it together in a different way than the usual but when it's eaten, the original dish is till what comes to mind. I like what you did with this. I'm the manager of the kitchen here at the ashram -- and it is all vegetarian. My pictures would look different than yours. Then again, I bet everyone's would.

Great job. Very creative.

Most people are more familiar with Shepherd's Pie which is minced lamb, mashed potatoes, cheese, onions, and carrots. Cottage pie is the same thing, only made with beef.

Actually, most people just confuse Shepherd's Pie with Cottage Pie, based on what I see on restaurant menus most often. :)

They do, I come across few people in the States who know that shepherd's pie is made with lamb!

An interesting take on cottage pie! Did you still feel you were eating the same thing, despite the beef not being minced?
