So, this week I finally watched all 3 X-Men movies. Why I haven't seen them before I have no idea. And I finally have the context for the Juggernaut quote, which I've heard before. :p One of the best lines in the movie.
(oh and no, I haven't read the comics)
Anyway, the first two were awesome, the last one kinda sucked a little, or at least it wasn't as awesome as the other two. It felt like in the last one they were just throwing characters at us with little or no explanation or character involvement. Like Angel. They went to the trouble of having his flashback and then he was in like 3 other scenes. I liked him, he was cool.
And on the subject of cool characters, three words: I heart Wolverine.
It was interesting seeing Ian McKellan as the evil guy, since the first role I remember seeing him in is Gandalf.
And what happened to Nightcrawler? He suddenly wasn't in X3? Him and Angel are my favorite non-main characters.
So, crazy Prince what's-his-face from Enchanted? Yeah, he's Cyclops. It took me a little while to figure it out 'cause his eyes are covered in the X-Men movies, but I made the connection by the end of the first movie.
The actress who plays Mystique currently plays Alexis Mead on Ugly Betty (which I only know 'cause Kelly watches it whenever it's on). I didn't realize that until she was shot with the cure gun in X3. Then I realized that was her actual appearance when she was seducing the stupid security guard in X2.
Stupid Maya from Heroes was in X3. At first I thought it was Jennifer Lopez. For about 10 seconds. Then she started talking.
I laughed my ass off when Multiple Man stepped out of the cell/locker/thing in the prison transport truck and said "I'm in". I totally didn't recognize him until he spoke, he's Dr. Sloan on Grey's Anatomy.
Oh, and Ellen Page played Kitty, aka "walk-through-walls girl".
heehee, Kelsey Grammer was blue.
lol, I was just looking at the cast list of X3 on imdb, and Stan Lee was the guy holding the hose in Jean's flashback at the beginning of the movie when she made all the cars levitate (and the lawnmower and the water from the hose).
I quite enjoyed the X-Men movies. They're pretty awesome.
hooray!,
movies i haven't seen but should have,
hilarity
