Ziplock bag

So Chinese new year went ok. There was some drama, but when is there not in my life... meh :/ It's since been resolved, so everything's fine now.

Sarah and I did go out for Chinese at our usual place down town, but we filled up on food so quickly that we didn't hang around long. It was lulzy, though, since I was on a training call the whole time. Since my job's HQ is in another state, everything is done over the phone or the web. I pretty much put the call on speaker phone and tried to tune it out. I like that about my new job :'D

When we got home, we watched Mulan, and pretty much conked out after that.

Today has been a day of many errands- I finally applied for a passport, too- so excited!! Now I can go wherever and I don't have to worry about not having one anymore. Sarah picked up Luca's ashes tonight as well. It's odd to think that his entire body can fit inside a ziplock bag in a little white box. Seeing them was bittersweet- it's nice to know he's home now, but a little jarring when I remember what he was.

On a more cheerful note, I saw an aussie puppy at Target today when I went to get a partial refund on my copy of Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 (...don't hate 8|). He was so cute, gave lots of kisses and would NOT sit still. I took a pic of him and it turned out totally blurry, I loved it. I think it may have been a sign- seeing a happy, healthy aussie puppy on the day we got back Luca's remains.

Maybe it means he's happy where he is now... maybe it was a sign from him that he's watching over us. Additionally, it might mean he's okay with us moving on and welcoming a new little wiggle monster into our lives. When we're ready, of course.

animals, new years, travel, my optimism is showing, work, luca, holidays, pets, errands, disney movies
