Like it's been mentioned already, I don't think age is such a massive issue as such - it's more about what stages in life you're in. Having said that, we're still so young it does make you wonder why exactly, say, a 30-something-year-old would like to start a relationship with someone in their early 20s. Maturity is what counts, and no matter how mature a 20-something-year-old can be there is still a long way to go to reach a level where they're equal to someone in their 30s - does that make any sense?
On the other hand, the guy I'm seeing is only three years older than me but we keep realising just how bad our timing is because I'm still in uni and he's been working full time since he graduated at 21, so even though we're not that far apart in terms of age, we're miles apart in terms of life experience and expectations.
