Thanksgiving came and went. I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday and 4-day weekend. Thanksgiving day itself was wonderful for me because I always enjoy every chance I get to spend with my family. They really are the best. I can't say I enjoyed the rest of my weekend as much. I was looking forward to it for a long time and it was a bitter disappointment. I thought that everyone would come home and we'd all hang out and things would be like they were in high school. Well, they weren't. Maybe it was because Nick didn't come home or maybe it was because they all have new lives now and they want to forget their old ones. This weekend was another reminder that I've lost most of my friends and not made any new ones. I feel like the few friendships I have left aren't very rewarding. I'm the driving force behind almost all of my relationships now. I always call them and I always plan everything we do. They take me for granted. I wonder what would happen if I stopped putting forth any effort. I'd probably be seeing a whole lot of movies by myself. I feel like I'm a back up friend for a lot of people. No matter how good of a friend I am to them, I'm still 2nd best. I'm the person they want to see only when their boys aren't around and the person they'll call if nobody else is free. I can't help but feel jealous because no matter how much they tell me they love me, I still think they love someone else more. It's sad, really.
On a happier note, you know the Christmas season is officially upon us when you hear Feliz Navidad on the radio. This is my favorite time of year. I love wearing sweaters and feeling the crisp cool air in my lungs. I love the smell of Christmas trees and the glow of the lights. I have a lot of money saved up this year so I will be able to get some really great gifts for people. There are 7 cousins on my mom's side and we are all overworked and underpaid students (well, some more than others) so we decided to do a secret santa and draw names for Christmas gifts. I would've been happy with anybody except one person and, unfortunately, I drew that one person. Just my luck. Ha.
The semester is over in a few weeks and I am just gearing up for finals. I am ready for new classes already. Speaking of new classes, my classes for next semester are:
