Just wanted to pop in and say "I hear you". Health insurance for my family--that's the part of the middle class fantasy that sounds really good to me....

I find myself often comparing my life to those of my family and a number of friends, and I am amazed by the disparities between the way I am forced, at present, to live, and the seemingly endless number of choices they have, simply because they have work (i.e, income) and I don't. I feel like someone changed the rules of the game on me without my knowledge. There are so many things I (we) need, and want, that seem so far out of reach right now. It's hard to keep up the emotional energy to keep looking for work and not spiral into self-pity.
