The message also needs to include how the entire community benefits when those with mental illness have access to treatment, Commissioner Michael Fox said.
“One of the biggest challenges we have in getting families back to work is mental health issues. Same thing in our jail,” Fox said. “There are people in our community who will be maimed or killed because someone has gone untreated. There is clearly a need.”
