Draco/Ginny for skyupthelight

Perhaps it had not been the best of all ideas to try and pick a fight with Draco Malfoy over the subject of one Harry Potter, Ginny could now think clearly in retrospection. Of course, back then, her mind hadn't been at its clearest, and physically attacking the older Slytherin rather than just hexing him had been her most pleasing option.

She should have just hex him, though. For some reason, she had wanted to follow Hermione's footsteps to give the blonde Slytherin a fear of girls (or maybe just a sizable respect for them).

What she hadn't encountered on, however, was that Draco Malfoy could give as good as he got in a catfight with a girl, and that the two of them would end up rolling on the ground outside the castle, cussing and pulling hair with the best.

She was lucky, Ginny thought now, that they hadn't been caught by a teacher.

Or maybe not.

The shin-kicking and hair-pulling had led (somehow, and she couldn't say how, even now that she had gone through the afternoon scene by scene in her head) to a long make-out session.

Her brothers would never approve. Heck, her entire family would never approve. But she had to admit to herself that Draco was perhaps the first guy that had stood up to her in a fight, as even Bill and Charlie had backed down from her, yowling and screaming, when she started the biting as a young child.

"Don't think that this makes us an item, Weasley." was the sneered words after the two of them had straightened their clothing again, both trying to hide not only the bruises and scratches, but the bite-marks and hickeys.

"I wouldn't think of it, Malfoy." Ginny had mocked, kicking at him again. Draco only scowled at her, but didn't retaliate this time.

His family would never approve either, she was sure.

"I'll be insulting Potter again, you know." Draco managed to say casually as he straightened his collar higher. "Tomorrow, noon, behind the Quidditch broomshed. You might want to come tomorrow as well to defend his honor."

"You bet I will." Ginny replied. "I can't let you say anything about Harry and get away with it."

Malfoy gave a nod before striding away. "Good."

Ginny only shook her head at the vain display, but whistled as she went on her away. Her brothers would be proud of how she had pounded Malfoy in, even with the injuries she got in return.

As for the rest... well, her family never need know, right?
