Whoops, Wrong Deeply-Ingrained Cultural Reference...
sauvagerie's post about potstickers/popsicles and coquette_not and salient73's recent mention of light saber battles have melded in entertaining fashion in a comment from the H.A. lst night, after we'd listened to about an hour of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:
"Oh, Mom, I think that after they start flying and the Darth Vaders come...I mean, the Death Eaters..."
We decided it was a perfectly reasonable slip.

In other news, I am now recovering from the main push for completing our general studies program writing assessment; or I should say, the evaluation portion. Four of us blitzed through about 100 5-page essays in approximately 24 hours. Brain now leaking out of ears. Now I get to switch into full-on Ashland mode before the next phase of the project: the ever-so-thrilling writing-up of results. It's an exciting life I lead. I think I have to go lie down now.
