I'm updating because 1) I want to prolong having to write my SEFCU scholarship essay, 2) no one has updated so I can't read anything interesting, and 3) the font on my computer is fun to look at when I type things up.
I haven't done a 'play by play' update in a while, so here goes:
*1* & *2* - Preps. First with Kat & Kendra, then by myself. The second prep was not as funny, but it was a funny situation. Basically, I've gotten into the habit of falling asleep at the little cubicle thangs because I don't feel like doing homework and I'm tired at the time. So I sit in the way back cubicle and put my head on my arms to sleep everyday. Well, almost everyday, but especially today, I dream during this nap that I oversleep, miss hearing the bell, and skip PIG class the period after. It frightens me. And what's weird is that this dream wakes me up exactly 2 minutes before the bell rings. Every time. It's great because I know I won't miss class, but when I first wake up, I have to make sure the same people are still around & that the dream really was just a dream. Funny stuff.
*3* - PIG. I love this class solely because of Ashley Bruno. If she weren't in my class, I'd hate PIG with an absolute passion. But we just crack up at literally anything all the time. Take today for example. Ms. Butry started talking about something, and I turn around and say "She's lookin' hot today" and Ashley just busts out laughing. Then I start. Neither of us can stop. Then we talk some "Phantom" (which I am quadruply excited for) and we continue laughing. It's just great. Except that damn paper Ms. Butry just gave us. That is not great.
*4* - English. More philosophy/ethics stuff. Which I can tolerate because I like to see where I'm at with some of the examples she gives us. Like Maslow's hierarchy of needs, I can find out exactly where I am - whether I've surpassed safety or love or whatever. It's cool and I'd better be interested in it since I'm planning to minor in Philosophy. But the boredness began with returning to a discussion of "All The King's Men." A semi-good book, but I just don't like discussing it at all for some reason.
*5* - Wind Ensemble. Yet he gave us a prep because he needed to rehearse with Jazz for the Jazzaret Friday night. Whatever. I just had Dinah help me with my math homework in the library. That is, in between her fights with Jimmy that made me feel like I was intruding in their marital relationship. I told them they fight like a married couple, and then I said he should take her to prom. I don't remember his reaction.
*6* - Calc. Lanahan doesn't have a fucking clue what he is teaching to us. I counted about 3 times today where we asked him to do a problem that we didn't understand and he said "oh. I don't know how to do this so just put D." We're like "WTFFFF" It was bad.
*8* - Spanish. I'm getting so so so so so sick of the disrespectful assholes in my class. Like, there are only 12 people in the class, yet at least 4 of them tend to cross the line of assholism everyday. It sickens me. This is what I hated about last year - Mrs. Misir is too nice, and they take advantage of her and it just ... ugh I don't even want to think about it.
Then I drove home, dropped off scholarship recommendation forms to Mrs. Wing and Gina (both not as awkward as I thought), then came back home to do some homework and download iTunes. Theeenn I had dinner with the family and watched "Harry Potter" on HBO.
And here I am now.
Turns out this will be my audition schedule:
JANUARY 29 SUNY Potsdam
FEBRUARY 5 Syracuse University
FEBRUARY 12 Ithaca College
MARCH 12 SUNY Fredonia
And Schenectady County will probably be worked in on some random Saturday when I have nothing to do. Or I'll just pretend that I never applied which is like what they're doing to me. I haven't heard a single fucking thing from them and I applied... oh about 2 months ago. They're supposedly getting their decision sent out soon, but I already know I'm in. Not to belittle community colleges, but...it's a community college.
I have to work tomorrow night, Steph's on Friday night, and work 2-9:30 on Saturday (which means no Winter Ball for this kid!!!!!)
Any other random thoughts, Nick? ... Nope I guess not.
Snow days = life.
