Couple random things to say:
Going to "Phantom" next Saturday! And possibly "Hairspray" that night!
I just finished running through my audition piece. I was nervous as hell that my fingers wouldn't remember it since I haven't played it in so long. Well, I can sleep easy cuz they didn't forget...it's funny - they never forget much of anything I play!
Awful goings-on with Syracuse, those goddamn bitches. Basically, they haven't received anything the guidance office sent to them, including transcript & recommendation. It was a January 1st deadline. Need I say more? They're not upset about it, but it doesn't put me at any sort of advantage. I'm quite pissed. And I sent them audition info through the mail last month, but they didn't have the courtesy to contact me and let me know that auditions have to be scheduled over the phone. So now I'm not doing it January 22, but February 5. This doesn't upset me a great deal. I mean hey, it gives me more time and it kind of bunches them up a little more to de-prolong the stressing out.
But I still think they're all bitches.
Let's just say Coe College of Cedar Rapids, Iowa is getting some major positives. There's hardly any negatives. Oh wait - here's one: Their "latest city news" for today was that the middle school ski trip was scheduled to be on January 17.

January is turning out to be not-so-stressful. Like, I began the Christmas break dreading its end, but it's shaping up to be okay. I mean yeah, I'm auditioning at the fucking Crane School of Music this month. But there's so many other cool things. Minus midterms. I'm glad I have to spend a lot of time with Mrs. Wing because I wish I could have her job :-D ... I really do wanna be a music teacher. And if there is a God, which I'm pretty sure there is, I'm gonna be one.
Okay enough of that. Time for more composing/reading "The Tommyknockers"/listening to the amazing Vaughan Williams' Fantasia/sleeping.
