Thought I'd let you all know that I am alive, if not really updating lj, returning phone calls, or sending emails. It's not that I don't love you all - I've been trying to both work full-time and fight off a cold that turned into bronchitis, so I haven't done anything but work and sleep for the last three weeks.
(My new Clever Plan is to fulfill my getting-sick quota by getting things like bronchitis instead of my usual sinus infections, since it causes less pain and provides more obvious symptoms that make even people who pass me on the street feel sorry for me. Plus, if I have to take an airplane or bus while I'm sick, I'll get a row to myself because everyone will be terrified to sit with me. I am good at Clever Plans.)
In other news, my job ends just before Thanksgiving, and my family is planning on going up to Canada for Thanksgiving weekend. I have been trying to convince my mother that this is a silly plan since they don't have Thanksgiving in Canada (at least not in November), but she's still set on it. Ah, well. I like Canada. I'll just make sure I have some cranberry sauce and stuffing before we go.
