Instead of doing dishes, I'm in youtube land again.

I love it so much, plus the music is just great.
I get, as I've mentioned before, my cologne from Laura's Body and Soul. They custom mix my "signature" rose scent to my specifications, plus a few other scents I wear when I'm feeling a bit more creative then just roses. They use a glycerine/alcohol/water base I believe. The glycerine makes the scent stay on like you wouldn't believe, alcohol is just a carrier and evaporates pretty quickly, but the glycerine makes it stick.

Mike's been trying their eczema cream on his psoriasis. I've mentioned his psoriasis before, and our quest for safe ways to keep the scales under control. He's got a moderate case on his elbows and parts of his legs and both kids have extremely mild very localized cases. A lot of the medications have a ton of really scary side effects, but if you have it, and your case is bad enough to cause arthritis, well.. you might want medication. Mike's case isn't nearly that bad. So it's manage and control. What works best for him is descaling with a kitchen green scrubbie and handy dandy Dr. Bronner's soap. I've asked him if he wanted to try pine tar or coal tar soap, but the Dr. Bronner's is working for him and non-staining. Handy in a gym bag. He was using a Burt's Bee cream that he liked a lot, but I picked him up a small jar of Laura's Body and Soul Eczema Cream. We have a winner. The scent took a bit to get used to, it does smell of juniper, but the baby cream doesn't have that juniper smell if you don't like it. The spots are actually *improving*. Not just "not cracking" but actually getting less scaly through the day and night. I'm glad. But a little petulant. The texture of the stuff is smooth and lovely, and I was completely planning on stealing the jar if it didn't work for him. They make it fresh every couple of weeks. It doesn't have a lot of beeswax in it, so it doesn't do the same protective coating that the Burt's Bees did, and I was wondering if that would bother him, but the improvement is good enough that he's really happy with it.

Bead chat tonight at 6pm PST. I probably won't make it, since I didn't make it to the gym this morning and I was *bad* yesterday. I had a soda and potato chips and a cup cake.
