Throwback Thursday
Re-watching Smallville has made me fall in love with a lot of the music used on it all over again. I don't think there's been quite a show that used music so perfectly. Back when it was first shown on television it helped me discover some of my now favourite bands/artists, and this scene in particular is one that has stayed with me for the perfect match of music and scene. The one in question is, of course, Asylum from Season 3.

It's still one of my all-time favourite tracks. Utterly beguiling and bewitching. And I will always think of that scene when I hear it. Because it seems so utterly perfect to me, and whoever came up with using this track had the best idea of their time on Smallville. Never has there been another perfect intro to the show as that episode.
