I went to the yarn shop at lunch and bought my sister $40 worth of needles and yarn to get her started with knitting. I don’t have time to go buy the book, so I think she is just going to get my copy, and then I’ll buy a new one if I need it. I’ll probably also give her one of my finishing needles. The yarn I got for her is so fun. One is variegated with autumnal colors. Not necessarily the prettiest yarn, but it will be easy for her to work with for her first project. Then I got her two *fun* yarns. A bright, textured, turquoise yarn and a chunky, purple yarn with green and white flecks. I hope she actually picks up the hobby because this would be a waste of yarn otherwise.
I found two of my younger cousins on Facebook. It’s nice to see that they are enjoying college life (i.e. drinking cheap beer and playing beer pong). They are both such special girls - really cute with sweet hearts. Their parents tend to be Jesus-centric though. This is a good thing, but I often wondered how the girls acted away from their parents. Now I know, and I’m happy to see they are having fun at college.
Last night’s show was *fantastic*! One of the best photo shoots they’ve done, Brittany’s absurd breakdown, Natasha’s trying to console her (“There are people having wars in their country!"), Dionne being crazy and asking people to keep the clothes from the go-sees?!? Yeah, very nice show.
My only gripe is the end result. Dionne should have gone home. Her pictures were so crappy compared to Brittany’s.
See what I mean? Besides, which is easier to teach - how to naturally take a good picture, or how one is supposed to act on a go-see? Now granted, Brit’s walk is horrendous, and would have kept her from winning, but I think they made the wrong choice last night. This really smelt of a wish by Ms Tyra to have a more ethnically diverse final four.
Natasha and Renee are both excelling in this competition. Both of them took gorgeous pictures last night. Natasha needs to win though because her personality is best and because of her ability to be unintentionally funny. She’s too cute!
