Some shout-outs to my homies

Jun 10, 2005 22:16

Alright so today was really good I attended graduation it was so beautiful, like thats the only way I can describe it. It was so rewarding to see all of my friends graduate because I have every bit of confidence that they are all going to excel in some area of life. Then I thought "how rewarding is this to the parents?" I mean raising your kid, watching them study and do their homework, and listening to them stressing about tests and just having them make it to graduate. When they all walked down the aisle in their gold and purple gowns I honestly thought I was going to cry. I was so proud of all my friends, I can't even explain it. The speeches were great and I can definitely remember those study groups from English Kathy, and Josh Carson was just hysterical..but I sort of expected that. Quoted a kid from the Incredibles has to be the most original thing I've ever heard and he's right we all just need to laugh, to be happy, and just soak up the greatness of life and the beauty of it. Ben Cooper's song was amazing, but I knew it would be and I was so unbelievably proud of everyone. So here's some shout-outs to everyone, I don't know if they'll ever read this, but you all have affected me somehow, someway, and you will always have a special place in my heart:
~Barbie~ My year wouldn't have been the same without you. You've really taught me to be proud of who I am, I'm so much more flexible and I'm more open about my thoughts and I am so unbelieveably proud of you. I know that you are going to do great things and I know that because you share that amazing faith in God with me and once we use those gifts he gives us, we'll do great things, as long as we do it for him. You impact so many people each and every day just because of your outgoing personality and I know that you are going to do great things and I just hope that you'll remember me 10 years from now when I'm a little teacher living with my husband in the great town of Smithsburg. I love you always!
~Allison~ It was so great meeting you this year and really getting to know you. The future has great things in store for you just because you push yourself that extra mile to strive to do your best, I look up to you (metaphorically AND literally) and just make me proud!
~Melinda~ I will miss you SO much! I loved seeing you everyday in Physics and it made me happy that someone that was smart didnt get A's on everything in Physics because it was so hard! Maybe I'll see you at St. Mary's (not sure yet) and even though you'll be studying hard just take a break to play ultimate frisby, I love you!
~Josh Carson~ You are one of the trashiest people I know and love you for that. I missed you 2nd semester, I mean I had like Josh Carson withdraw, I loved your speech and I'm so proud of you for being valedictorian! You're kind of like a role model, but I guess it's because you're trashy (like me). You're going to do great things and I know this because you survived Statistics!
~Josh Whitt~ Ok, like I had to put you next to Josh Carson because the two of you are so cool!!! I have no idea where to begin, I mean I guess it all goes back to the English stories which I miss so much, I just don't understand how so many random things happen to you and not to everyone else. I mean really who goes to Frederick and ends up in Baltimore? I was so confused. Good luck in college, keep in touch!
~Carrie Johnson~ You are the cutest person I know! I loved the freckles in Oklahoma and I can't believe you took AP Physics and are going to teach elementary school, because thats what I'm going to do too! Just keep loving Jesus, and being nice and sweet and you'll be great!
~Monica~ I'll miss seeing you in the hallway. I'm so proud of you, thanks for letting me use your pom poms for show choir...I hope you put them to good use in college. Love you!
~Kathy~ Ok definitely my role model for life. I mean come on 2nd in the class and being getting an engineering scholarship, wow! Loved your speech, just keep smiling and being studious!
~EmFav~ Em Fav Scav what? I'm still rocking it on Anabell's windows. Social director of NHS...woot woot. I won't forget those study groups at 7 am in the girls locker room, what were we thinking? Love you lots. "Elon" "communications major."
~Ben Cooper~ BEST SONG EVER! I love your voice and I love when you play the guitar and I just love when you're being musical!!! You're a great guy and I'm waiting to hear your music on the radio because you're going to be famous!
~Ben Buhrman~ Best actor I know! I hope you keep acting because if I don't see you in a play within the next year I'll be highly disappointed. Joe and I will keep the drama club going, come back and visit!!!!

Alright well this was incredibly long, if I forgot you please notify me so I can give my sincere apologies and tell you how much I love you! Well I'm out!

P.S. What was Valerie thinking? I mean top 10 lists are SO Kelli Hill.
