Last Day, part IV in a series.
Saying good-bye never gets easier, although after almost a year we've had plenty of practice. I've been and gone four times now, and I still feel sad.
Joy and Julia (the RTS girls) and I are going out to dinner on Tuesday; Courtney (who works with me and is the other voice of Polly, the imaginary giant anthropophagous parrot we inadvertently created) might or might not be coming along. I hope it's "might". Courtney r00lz.
I've been trying to buzz TEH JAZZ0R in the hopes that we might get together before I leave, but I don't know how that's working out. I do plan on going out to buy myself some Goth boots tomorrow, with or without TEH JAZZ0R, on account of I've wanted Goth boots for a REALLY, REALLY LONG TIME. I deserve them, and they don't cost that much anyway. Of course that means no stereo. Eh. I have a CD player.
Terra Incognita is coming along splendidly. R has been a really good sport about modifying his character profile, and he's obviously not illiterate. I hope I'll be able to let him into the game soon. There are three other games I'd like to join, but I'm a believer in ONE AT A TIME. If I try to get used to three other games all at once, I'll be a piss-poor player in all of them, and I want to wait until after I've moved to make any more commitments anyway.
Current apartment-related agonizing:
a.) Have they got my lease yet?
b.) Will I have electricity when I move in? I sent it in yesterday, my move-in date is the 29th, so the electric company will want it by the 25th or 26th. That should be doable. I think.
c.) Should I take Dad's old weight bench out of the garage and bring it with me?
I seem to want a girlfriend (despite my incredible love for jurhael and the fact that the love augustuscaesar and I share is Meant To Be), and am therefore agonizing about how to attract her and what I should be like and look like and how far I can change that without compromising who and what I am. We all change in relationships. I don't want to lose myself.
I want to catch up on games, do the dishes, and hit the sack.
